the true measure of a successful person is how we make the ones around us feel - unknown

Impact. That is the word that this crown and this court holds. Words can’t even begin to describe how assuring and exciting it is to be standing next to the 10 most impactful leaders around campus. Moving through college you always want to influence and be remembered but most times just showing up and being passionate will result in the most influential and lasting impact.

This past homecoming weekend was just joyous, and one for the literal history books. I not only had the honor of being the fifth person in my chapter to win homecoming king and carry on our legacy. I got to be a one half of the first all black, all divine nine King and Queen BGSU has ever seen.

It is not all on me, i literally couldn’t have done tos without the campus and my fellow students seeing more in me and believing in me. The weekend may be over, and the crown is stored away, but i felt the impact that us falcons can have and i’m beyond grateful to represent that

I will always remember this moment because it happened in an instant. To not only be crowned by a friend but to feel the love, hear the screams, and have reality hit me that…I won.

A weeks worth of campaigning and stress all dissolved in an instant.

TO MY SANDS, MY QUEEN. It is insane that we have set a precedent, like OFFICIALLY TRANSCENDING THE GAME. I am so proud of you for applying and taking a chance on yourself!!

There will hopefully be so many more to follow in our footsteps. And for us both to be the most nerve wrecked going into the weekend just to come out on top and together. I couldn’t have asked for a better story to be written. 🔥x🧊 brought it home and set the precedent. Spring 24 EVERYWHERE gets to reap the benefits.

The moment I almost ran over to Gloria after hearing her name be called…..genuinely didn’t even know President Roger was behind me

My birds, my SiCsIc, so much love between me and all of you. I may not be a cheerleader anymore but the bonds i have made and the interactions that I have with all and any of you will never be forgotten taken in Bowling Green State University by @eliijah.rayy
