I joined The Red Badge of Courage almost exactly two years ago. I was still in school, it was one of my very first sets, I wasn’t even being paid, and I had a blast. Last night I wrapped the FOURTH block of filming as art department lead. I’ve been frustrated and overworked, my exhaustion this morning is soul deep, but I’m tremendously grateful for this project. I’ve been so involved with this production that I made the graphics for the gofundme! I designed the logo! I built three cabins! I learned to tell the difference between confederate vs union rifles! I know how to clean them after they’ve been fired! I’m too hot to know what a shelter half is but here I am! There’s so much more I want to say about the people I’ve had the chance to work with, the friends I’ve made, the things I’ve learned, etc. but I’m too tired to try to put more of my thoughts into words. by @elisemarkle

I should have posted this a week ago but I’m just so grateful that I’ve had the opportunity to spin with @elysianvcu for these past two years. During my freshmen and sophomore year at VCU I ached to do guard again but I couldn’t find a way until Elysian. I got to spin with them for their first ever competing season last year, and I got to perform with them again this season despite everything that we went through. Thanks to everyone I met through this guard and to each of you that stuck around for this season to make our show happen. I’ll miss y’all ❤️ by @elisemarkle
