The transformation of 275 Grove Street in Newton, MA, shows what’s possible. We are thrilled to announce that 40 Thorndike has received 2nd Place in the Adaptive Reuse category of @retrofitmag’s Metamorphosis Awards!

Once the site of the former Edward J. Sullivan Courthouse in Cambridge, MA, 40 Thorndike has been reinvented as a mixed-use office, residential, and retail destination. LEED Gold certified, with WELL Core Gold certification pending, the project represents the rebirth of an out-of-place structure, transformed through more than a decade of architectural planning, design, and construction. Today, 40 Thorndike takes its place as a thoughtful addition and good neighbor to the surrounding community.

Congratulations to our summer intern, Rianna Reynolds, on being named the recipient of this year’s @iidane Croquet Scholarship!

Rianna is a rising junior interior design major at @wentworthinstitute, with a passion for integrating universal design, advanced spatial planning, and sustainable practices across a wide range of projects and fields.

The Croquet Scholarship recognizes exceptional students pursuing a degree or certificate in Interior Design or Interior Architecture throughout New England. Scholarship recipients were announced at IIDA New England’s annual Croquet Tournament at the end of July.

We’ve loved having Rianna as part of our team this summer and are so excited to see all that she accomplishes next. Congratulations, Rianna, and best wishes for the year ahead!

Architecture is never static.

At 66 Galen Street, Ivory terracotta panels follow the building's sweeping curves, while horizontal sunshades create a layered composition that guides the eye across the facade.

As the sun moves overhead, the building reveals new tones, shadows, and subtle shifts in character, bringing the architecture to life throughout the day.
Completed in 2024, the project achieved LEED Gold certification, reflecting a commitment to high-performance, sustainable design.
