Where are residential designers sourcing today?

In a recent ICFF story, BarlisWedlick Architects, Sugarhouse Design + Architecture, and Elkus Manfredi Architects share how they approach contemporary design, vintage pieces, custom fabrication, and material selection.

From Porro and SP01 to House of Hackney, Artistic Tile, Lasvit, and more, we pulled together a selection of the brands and designers appearing across their projects.

Discover how these firms are building layered, collected interiors through the pieces they choose.

Ingalls Ice Rink, 1958– Eero Saarinen

Completed in 1958, Eero Saarinen’s Ingalls Rink at Yale is one of the most expressive buildings of postwar American architecture. Its structure is the architecture: a sweeping reinforced-concrete arch rises from two massive concrete buttresses, supporting a suspended timber roof whose curved form recalls the hull of an inverted ship. Inside, the structure remains legible, enclosing the ice rink beneath a continuous, column-free volume. Saarinen avoids the conventional image of a sports hall, making the building simultaneously structural experiment, civic room and unmistakable landmark within Yale’s campus.
