Love you 💖 Lawrence Inscho!!! Lawrence was one of the most truly positive people I’ve had the joy of knowing. ✨So thankful for his kindness and care! His passion for music was infectious and brought so much light ✨❤️🙏 to everyone who knew him. 🌻🌈💐🌼 He encouraged me and countless others to follow our path as musicians and always gave words of wisdom and affirmation. I know his spirt will send beautiful ripples out into the universe and I am so grateful to be inspired by him! 💖💖💖💖🙏✨🌈 by @ella_patrick_art

Thank you to all who came to celebrate Lawrence this evening. It was such a touching gathering in memory of one of our biggest advocates and friends. Songs were sung and memories shared.

I’m so incredibly pleased and thankful to have painted this Dolly Parton mural at @birthplaceofcountrymusicmuseum I hope folks enjoy it during @bristolrhythm and that it creates a space to pay homage to our Queen, Dolly Parton. 💖👑

I hope I’ve done her justice and captured even a little bit of her boundless beauty!!! Most of all, I hope that when folks see it, they feel some of the kindness and light that Dolly put into the world, radiating from it like a million butterflies. May her kindness continue to ripple through all of us. 🦋✨💕

Thank you so much to the Birthplace of Country Music Museum, @explorebristolnow and @believeinbristol for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to make this dream come to life!!!

And thank you to the incredible community that came together to help pull this off! So many hands, hearts, and good folks went into making this artwork possible. 💖🙏💖

After long hours of hard work and creative dedication, @ella_patrick_art’s Dolly Parton mural was revealed this morning! In partnership with @believeinbristol and @explorebristolnow, we are honored to feature this beautiful tribute to the queen of country music at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum.

Charlene Tipton Baker, Associate Director of the nonprofit Believe in Bristol and former BCM staff member, reflects on Dolly Parton’s impact both personally and locally in her recent blog, “Dolly Parton’s Enduring Connection to Bristol and the Birthplace of Country Music Museum.” She says, “I never once considered living in a world without Dolly Parton, but here we are. From her art to her heart, Dolly embodied the qualities we should all strive for as human beings: kindness, compassion, humility, authenticity, generosity, and acceptance.”

Charlene goes on to write about @bcmbristol’s fond connection to Dolly, starting in 2013 when tourism partners @visitvirginia and Tennessee Department of Tourist Development (TDTD) supported the reinterpretation album of the 1927 Bristol Sessions, “Orthophonic Joy.” Dolly Parton, among many other renowned artists, was featured on the album singing Alfred G. Karnes’ hymn, “When They Ring Those Golden Bells.”

Almost ten years later, Dolly once again collaborated with the museum on two projects, the first being a documentary about Bristol in 2022, and the second being her endorsement of the museum’s first traveling exhibit in 2023.

To learn more about Dolly Parton’s impact and connection to Bristol and the Birthplace of Country Music, you can read Charlene’s blog at the link in bio.
