Kaio was always something I knew about, but I never fully involved myself with it. I was always invited and welcome, but I could’ve never imagined the impact it would have on my life until I decided to give it a shot. I was immediately met with pure grace and love. As 1 Peter 4:8 says, “Above all, love each other deeply because love covers over a multitude of sins.” After fully committing to Kaio, I then learned the true importance of community. The leaders I’ve built connections with and the friendships God has brought me will forever stay with me. Just as Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 reminds us, “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: if either of them falls down, one can help the other up.” The constant presence of the Lord in these relationships, from praying over each other to dancing our hearts out, truly amazes me.
The growth I’ve experienced is an undeniable fact, and I can only thank Kaio and its leaders for presenting me with opportunities I had to take, continuously challenging me, and always calling me higher in everything I do. On my last night at Kaio, P. Nathan gave a sermon on what he wanted us to take away (one message is tattooed on me forever). I want him to know the greatest thing I’m taking away is the true biblical meaning of grace. If you don’t know what that means, it’s basically getting something you don’t deserve. Time and time again, Kaio and its leaders never judged students, always listened to their students’ mishaps, and never shunned a student for their mistakes. Instead, they saw these as opportunities for the Lord to move, beautifully relaying Ephesians 2:8-9: “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works so that no one can boast.” I’ve been giving the tools and prepared with the skills to step into my next chapter equipped with the knowledge and boldness to step out and live fully surrendered to the Lord. Thank you Kaio for everything!!🤍
