All of this is quite a bit of assumption and estimating. A lot of things vary. Sometimes I spend hours talking with clients to find out exactly how they want the portrait, whereas some customers know exactly what they want, and the whole process is booked in within a matter of minutes.

Procrastination runs through my veins, so some portraits get finished quicker than others! 😂

A common misconception people have is that I must have gotten faster at drawing my portraits. But it’s actually the complete opposite! As I’ve improved my drawings, the process has actually gotten longer because the detail has become finer and more layers are added to make them as realistic as possible!!

finishing touches done for @eatgiuseppes by the talented @ellawinter.art !

I reached out to Ella for some custom canvas paintings for the shop and let her run with it, i just said i wanted to bring nonna into it somehow and an Italain vibe, and she smashed it. She normally just paints animals but did an incredible job for the shop and has recently gone full freelance with her artwork so go book her before she fills up! 🤣 by @ellawinter.art

Sketching definitely needs some work but so nice to bring something arty to my holidays!! More of this? I’m thinking pets in the park next🥹
