I hadn’t posted anything yet about my devised piece because I wanted to wait until the song I wrote for the piece “Ellie Think” was out on Spotify. And now it is!
I really loved creating this piece despite the challenges of trying to play guitar while moving in the hoop! I will definitely be exploring this more in the future 😊
For now you can listen to my song on Spotify, iTunes, or wherever you like .. link is in my @elle.beale bio by @elle.beale

We are still at a stage with Clamber where we are thinking of and experimenting with new ways we can bring music creation into our performances. In July, me and Bendy were listening to @cosmosheldrake and were so inspired by how he makes such beautiful and unique sounds from samples. All the percussion, harmony and melody parts can be traced back to some member of the natural world. Thus I grabbed a pen and started frantically writing on our inspo wall all of my favourite noises and later used them to create this short piece. Then we went to St James park and @bendywest filmed me frolicking around like a perfume ad model.

That being said I can feel how this little soundscape set the tone for the visuals.. this is something I’m excited for when we start making full shows with Clamber. And I’m also excited to fully explore how we can use samples from the noises we make during acro -feet landing, hands clapping, sweeping the floor- and create full musical pieces with them.

Writing music for circus is such a special thing that I’d love to do more throughout my career. Being able to write this song and perform alongside @xe.cirque was such a wonderful experience and I hope for more like it 🤍🩵
You can listen to the whole song on Spotify or even better watch Xélia’s full performance on YouTube!

Creating the music for this poem by @circus.gremlin was honestly a challenge. Only because it makes me cry every time I hear it and so making the music for it meant I heard it A LOT. I had a tissue on hand the whole time I was editing 😭
This is a small section of a poem Chrys wrote about our friendship and it still makes me tear up now.
The full thing is on Spotify if you’d like to listen to the full thing.

My latest song is out now!
My relationship with this song has had it’s ups and downs but ultimately I’ve decided I want to share it and hopefully there are people who find joy in listening to it. Feedback is always welcome, and also I won’t stop you sharing it with your pals 😁
Link in bio for where you can listen. A full music video will be out on Saturday!

Shooting the video for ‘Waking up the Spiders’ didn’t come without it’s challenges, the main one being that rigging from the pier is not allowed without permission 😬 so after about half an hour of the rope being up, we were told to leave. But we made it work and got the train to Worthing (to rig under Worthing pier instead). We managed to film a lot at Worthing but again got asked to leave, though the guy was very nice and gave us a sneaky extra half an hour to finish filming and pack down. All this moving around meant we didn’t have the amount of time to film as we’d planned, but we made it work! Chrys and Tom killed it and just kept going despite the issues and I love them for it. Big love to @circus.gremlin and @blendedtom ❤️❤️❤️ taken in Brighton Pier by @elle.beale
