Seeking: politically engaged and/or conceptual artists, all things GDR, and natürlich that FLINTA oohlàlà, plus writers & literary-leaning folks. Esp. keen to talk to people who learned German as adults และคนไทยที่อยู่ที่นั่นนะคะ I’ll have a B1-ish level of German, + español, ภาษาไทย & français. Whom should meet? Where should I meet them?

Have a tiny budget to hop on trains as needed

thank you @monson_arts and its people for the beautiful residency earlier this winter. i loved the land, housemates, sauna survivors, TheraCane walkabouts, cabinetry crash course, cool books, lack of wifi/cell service, beaver moon witcheries, citizenship exam study seshes, veggie emergencies, popcorn making, mary shelley write-all-nighters, and bonfire pit. REALLY loved my studio.

wrapped up a revision of my novel & got some blank-wall, dream-it-up hours with the next one. other notable milestone: Sontag broke a nail and, thanks to transnational encouragement, yours truly changed her first-ever flat at 1AM without catching frostbite. many big and little miracles! taken in Monson Arts by @ellenadams

salut! i am now a CITIZEN of CANADA!!!!!!!

i am grateful for each day here. i am grateful for the blueberry stand years ago that started it all and the warmth and welcome i’ve found since. i am grateful for my life. i am grateful to be alive!!!

for me, gratitude looks like metabolizing the good and, strengthened by that goodness, working towards a more just and loving world for all beings. i am grateful to continue that work here in tiohtià:ke
