That night I told my ex “Hey I’m not coming home tonight because I’m going to a hotel with Max” and that is the worst thing I think I have ever done.

Forgiving myself for the choices I made during that time has not been easy, but being able to recognize where my choices were coming from and how to choose different next time has been really helpful.

Thank you for your patience with this video!

I love getting vulnerable with you guys but it is also, ya know, vulnerable!

I’m also in school right now, doing a yoga teacher training, getting my EFT certification, and writing a journal with a friend! My life is very full and bright at the moment, so going back to the darker parts of my life can feel heavy at times.

But it feels important for me to tell this story. If I can help one person recognize manipulation for what it is and get themselves out of a toxic relationship, these videos are worth posting ♥️ by @elliedots

I’m going to mess this up, and that’s okay.

I wrote thirty 1min episodes about my life since I left my ex moved to austin and I decided to scrap it.

I don’t need a script, I trust myself, and I know my own story. That right there is the whole point.

Because when my story began 2 years ago, I didn’t trust myself and I was afraid of my own voice.

I hope my story helps someone get through what they’re going through ♥️

It was the hardest thing I’ve ever been through, and the most rewarding this I’ve ever been through. So grateful for these experiences ❤️

Getting ready to share this story in a more detailed/episodic way. I want to share what I learned from each of the dates I went on. How I made new friends and the lessons I learned from all of the people who loved me before I knew how to love myself. What it was like to finally start dating women after knowing for a long time that I was bi. How my home environment constantly changed to reflect the inner changes I was going through.

It’s been a beautiful journey and I have loved living this story. I just reallllyyy want to make sure I tell it from a place of connection with anyone going through something similar. The last thing I want is to tell it through a lens of “clickbait” material (bc yes some of those dates were hilariously bad) but that not what it’s about. It’s about the lessons. The inner work. And slowing learning how to live my life on my own ❤️
