Visual identity for @godmothers.ai

GODMOTHERS of AI is a cultural platform celebrating women shaping our technological future: the engineers, artists, activists who are reimagining artificial intelligence.

The identity combines Simon Mono by @actualsource.work as a nod to the feminist histories of typewriters and early coding with handwritten interruptions and details set in Emily in White by @juliasys_fi.

Abstract painter Hilma af Klint was a key inspiration for the client. Drawing from her visual language, we developed a series of icons representing the GODMOTHER archetypes. At the centre of the system is the spiral, a recurring motif in af Klint’s work symbolising growth and interconnectedness. It serves as the project’s core mark, forming an abstracted G. by @elllenjonsson
