World Championships OCR 2025🇸🇪

Beyond happy to call myself World Champion on the standard course!! After Thursday’s short race I was a bit disappointed (not because 4th place isn’t good, but because 1st slipped away from me). Then again, I was also really proud of that race, I felt fast and strong and had a terrific day (up until the Helheim😅). So when I arrived into the stadium today with all of my bands still on my wrist, I was thrilled. When I entered into the OCR sport last year I knew I wanted to become champion of the world, I just didn’t think I’d be standing on the highest podium a mere year later.

My legs were still a bit tired from Thursday (pretty sure I’m not the only one😅) but I had a fantastic race! A beautiful course and wonderfully organized👏🏻

Congrats to @englundsiri & @majawellner for grabbing 2nd and 3rd! And of course to @helenuss_ @linneastensons & @katlev90 for the win on the short course!!

And thanks @theocrreport for the great pictures and to everyone cheering this weekend!

To end this championship, I will compete in the team relay tomorrow, already tired but of course also excited😆 taken in Gothenburg by @elsarijpstra

Tot zondag! taken in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands by @elsarijpstra

BIG10 ⏱️33:44

Flew high and crashed hard😅 So happy with this huge PR! I didn't know I had this in me. I gave it my all during the @bigseries.run. My first time running this amazing event, but I'll be back for sure.

Unfortunately I got really sick the following morning, but at least I'd already run my race😁 taken in Rotterdam, Netherlands by @elsarijpstra

Double World Champ OCR 🥇🇮🇪

The short course win from yesterday was so exciting!! Didn’t have this one yet😉 And today’s standard race went so smoothly. It went out fast(er than I could handle) but from the @toroz.gear captain hook obstacle onward I just kept mindlessly running.

I really didn’t expect this outcome if you would’ve asked me a few weeks ago. I got sick for almost two entire weeks and thought racing competitively here was hopeless. But maybe the extra rest worked out in my favor😅

I want to thank everyone for their kind words, it really means a lot! (I’ll get to responding to you all soon🫣)

Tomorrow I will run the mixed national team race to close out the weekend. Excited for this final race!

But maybe (just maybe) my greatest achievement this weekend is Stijn’s face when I beat him with sudoku’s, truly priceless. taken in Limerick, Ireland by @elsarijpstra
