A look behind the scenes of A Room Elsewhere!

During ADE weekend, we curated and built a room for the in-between moments of a night out, in collaboration with @rooomradio and @taleofbus.

Inspired by the chill-out rooms of the 90s, we turned the space into an immersive world of light, projection, sculpture, textiles and painting. Room Radio soundtracked it with slower-paced sets from their DJs, played through a sound system by @allhandson.dex

Guests sat, wandered, and connected with the people around them, discovering art along the way before heading back to the dancefloor. Thank you to Room Radio and Tale of Bus for making this with us, and to everyone who stopped by.

Shoutout @momentswithmerrie for capturing the night beautifully by @elsewhere_project_

Bring back the chill out room 💚

During ADE, we’re opening “A Room Elsewhere” at Het Salon, together with Room Radio and Elsewhere Project.

Inspired by the chill-out rooms of the ’90s, a space to slow down, discover art, connect with others and drift into slower sounds before returning to the dancefloor.

Location: Het Salon / ToB Garage
When: Friday & Saturday during ADE
Entrance: Free, with donations welcome to support the artists who bring this space to life.

Come slow down, explore and travel somewhere else.

See you next week :)

What a day with ‘Sun-baked’ Art Cafe by our residents @elsewhere_project_

Nearly 200 people passed through our space and helped bring it to life next to paintings, homemade baked goods, music, and makers.

A little recap of a very lovely day.
Nearly 200 of you came through, and we were so happy to see the @het.salon.ateliers space filled with people, art, food, music and makers.

We started Sun-baked with the idea of creating a space where art could feel lived in, where paintings, food, music, jewellery, plants, fabrics and people could all exist together. Seeing so many of you show up and make that space your own was more than we could have hoped for 🥹
We’re so grateful to every artist, maker, musician, collaborator and friend who helped bring it to life, and especially to everyone who came, stayed, shared, danced and made connections along the way.

So honoured to have collaborated with @lautjeeats_ with her summery treats and cannot wait for more!!! Thank you to our beautiful DJs for guiding us through the day with their tunes @Rhuiz @dj3ade. So nice to have @myrthespoelstra showcase her beautiful jewelry and @the.hook.down for teaching us some crocheting skills!! And love always to our spicy bartenders @baran_basimi & @mohit_neb.

A huge thank you to our photographers @luisew8 @xismeinedo @alyumrukcal and @jordyvworcum for capturing these moments and to our wonderful sponsors @wakulicoffee and @roaoats for supporting us and helping make the day possible.

We’ll be coming back to you soon with more exciting projects and initiatives but for now see you elsewhere!!

Meet Roza, the Amsterdam-based producer, DJ, and singer behind @hellorhuiz

Growing up with Dutch and Indonesian roots, where music has always been deeply valued, Roza discovered it as a way to explore her truest self: a journey that continues to shape and reflect through her work.

For Sun-baked, she’s creating an immersive soundscape for one of @naomirechtman artworks, alongside a DJ set blending Detroit and House influences, as well as a special B2B with @dj3ade

Go check out her new track « Sweden », out 7 August.

Meet Myrthe, an Amsterdam-based jewellery maker joining us for Sun-baked.

Inspired by her heritage and the Frisian countryside where she grew up, with its wide landscapes, beautiful meadows, and lovely beaches. Myrthe has created a collection of recycled, handcrafted jewellery focusing on organic shapes, florals, and heritage.

She will be presenting her pieces to you on the 29th of August. Come discover her work and the stories woven into each piece.

Meet @lautjeeats_ who’ll be creating the dishes for Sun-baked.

For this edition, Laura found inspiration in the flavours that remind her of summer: peaches, passion fruit, and lemon. Sour and refreshing elements that create a beautiful balance in savory foods.

After hosting her own home cafés, Laura discovered how much she loves creating spaces where people can come together to share food, conversation, and experiences. That same sense of warmth and community is something we’re so excited to bring to Sun-baked.

Join us on 29 August for a day of art, food, workshops, and music 🦎 (tickets in bio!!)

To us, Elsewhere isn’t a place—it’s a feeling.
It’s the feeling we hope to create at every gathering: a space to connect with people, art, music, and perhaps discover some new faces and places.

We’re so excited to invite you to our second event, Sun-baked, on August 29th an art café celebrating late summer through art, food, community and delicious coffee sponsored by @wakulicoffee & @roaoats !
We can’t wait to welcome you elsewhere 🦎 by @elsewhere_project_

We have a very exciting announcement ✨ after having the best time at our April expo we decided to come back to you with another edition and celebrate last days of summer together at the end of August.
This time we want to invite you to Sun-Baked, a daytime art café experience reflecting on wildness and summer’s passing through food, art, and a sensory garden-like setting. We invite you to slow down, explore paired artworks and dishes, and enjoy a relaxed, creative atmosphere focused on taste, colour, and community.

Just as last time @hellorhuiz and @dj3ade will be joining us from behind the decks, providing the soundtrack throughout the day✨

More details coming soon! by @elsewhere_project_

while (True): in states of becoming ——— This expo was filled with many late nights and was truly a massive labour of love. We’re so proud to have hosted the first of many events to come!!!! We were so thankful for all those who came — familiar faces and new ones alike, could not have expected such a turnout 💕

The exhibition grew out of a shared desire between the three of us to collaborate on a creative project and challenge our own practices. Working across different mediums — digital, fine art, and textile — we responded to one another by adopting and reinterpreting each other’s materials and techniques, creating a dialogue between our processes. Together, the works were arranged to create an experience rather than a static display, inviting viewers to move through the space and engage with the works as part of an ongoing process.

A huge thanks to @brouwerijtij for sponsoring the evening with the tastiest beers, and @het.salon.ateliers for always providing such a beautifully creative space.

We couldn’t have done this without the help of so many wonderful people. Still amazed by the bouncy beats our talented DJs brought all night @hellorhuiz & @leila.hammoud . Shoutout to @geer.tje , @baran_basimi & @emanuelnijkerk for helping with the setup and everything in between. Big kisses to our beautiful bartenders who kept the vibes going all evening.

And lastly, a big BIG shoutout to our photographers for capturing the evening so beautifully: @alyumrukcal , @emrevill & @stijnhvs 🤍 by @elsewhere_project_
