I still pinch myself sometimes.
Because this isn’t a moodboard or a fantasy it’s a door I actually walk through.

Three months in Sri Lanka, and somehow I found myself standing on the 7th floor of the Art & Textile Design Faculty in Colombo.
Reading the sign.
Breathing it in.
Thinking… wow, I’m really doing what I love and God is providing.

The past few weeks I went quiet.
Not because I disappeared
but because I needed to live without documenting every step.

I felt burned out.
So I put the phone down.
And in that silence, i realised how much life happens when you’re not constantly recording it.
How much freedom there is in being present.
How many ideas return when you give them space.

I know some people expect updates.
The kids.
The projects.
The giving.
But I’m not always behind a camera and I don’t want to be.

Some moments are meant to be lived, not uploaded.

Living here now, and before I’ve started to understand how everything I love can coexist.
Fashion.
Wellness.
Touch.
Care.
Community.

Nothing feels forced anymore.
It feels woven.

Helping the kids matters.
Being an example matters.
But so does honouring the child in me
the one who always dreamed of creating, designing, building something of his own.

This is where I am right now.
With ups and downs.
But consciously moving forward.

Elysian is born and so my curiosity.

A Greek word — a state of being.
A feeling of peace, balance, beauty, creativity, and quiet elevation.

Right now, I’m in the middle of it all.
Creating.
Questioning.
Letting the garments develop instead of rushing them.
Trusting the process.

Gods Will, the pieces will come to life when they’re meant to.
For now, I’m shaping the world they belong to the mood, the values, the emotion, the atmosphere.

Learning as I go.
Feeling tired at times, but deeply aligned.

This is the @elysianbydm
Not finished.
Not perfect.
But honest.

And for the first time in a long while that feels enough. 🤍

Inspired by the stillness hidden within movement.
Quiet walks through warm Sri Lankan streets in Galle, tropical shadows resting on old walls, slow afternoons beneath palms and golden light.

The earthy tones mirror the island itself cinnamon, sand, terracotta and faded greens carrying a sense of calm, softness and timelessness.
