It has been 3 months since the release (and 2 months since the official launch) of my 1st publication, Period Pieces.

Over half of the 150 produced are out in the world. Period Pieces has travelled to 3 countries and found its way to more than 50 individual homes, 5 stores, 1 library, 1 art fair, and even 1 exhibition!

I am so grateful for the community that has been holding my hand and heart through this and showing me we can carry this vulnerability together. It is such a gift. To those that have reached out and trusted me with your hurts and healings, I’m honoured. Your courage is awe-inducing.

Shoutout to these wonderful spaces for supporting artists — especially the radical, tender, queer ones:

Personalized lil love note included with every purchase from me❣️ Link in bio to order from my website or to find a stockist near you.👯

Gentle reminder that social media doesn’t capture all of the fears and tears that (continue to) go into this. Going to go cry in the club now!! Until next time.🌱 by @em.cussen

What I’m bringing with me to 25:
I want to celebrate the delicate interconnection of the earth and my body. I want to treat myself like flowers wearing a cozy sweater. I want to honour the tender and radical process of healing the past versions of me that were masking “being” and hanging on to ledges by broken pinky promises. I want to connect vulnerably, only give sincere (and warranted) apologies from here, and tell my friends how much I love them more often.

I’m Em. My favourite colour is forest green, wish chips make me smile, and I enjoy dissecting song lyrics in my spare time. My weirdness, queerness, gender fluidity, and neurodivergence make me the Em you see at a quarter of a century. Thank you for being here pals. ♏️🤸💥🪩🌈🧦🧤🥟🫐🌶️💫 taken in Discotheque by @em.cussen
