This is 41.

This year feels like a different lifetime from this day last year.

I'm excited about what's coming next (whatever that may be) and I can't say that I felt the same on my 40th birthday.

But I'm so thankful to the me of last year for pushing through despite everything she was going through, because against the odds 40 hasn't been bad.

It's been a year where I've learnt to seek the glimmers even in the difficult times, and to really revel in the wonderful times when they're here. A year of relentlessly pursuing the dream life, even if it looks a little different to the one I made endless physical and mental sacrifices trying to reach.

So, I'm ready to go into 41 with the same energy.
It turns out that when grief softens around the edges, sometimes it leaves behind a determination to cram life as full of joy and love and peace and magic as possible, in spite of it or just to spite it, I'm not sure. But I'll take it!

9 years married to my wonderful husband ❤️ Life's thrown some absolute BS our way in that time but it's also brought some of the most amazing adventures, and @deanobowers81 is the thing I'm most grateful for in the whole world. So I'd say that makes me pretty lucky 🍀 by @em_walshy
