Stay open and stay silly, and when you find something good in this life, hang on tight and don’t let it go. Twenty years in, I’m so grateful that I didn’t choose a dang loser. ♥︎ by @embritches

Happy earthdaybirthday to the very best one. ♥︎ by @embritches

We left E. Shaver empty-handed after our browse on Friday, but as we did spot three of the four shop cats during our time there, I still count it a win.

Loved all of the indoor installations at the SCAD art museum! The giant knitted beanie was one of my favorite pieces.

We happened to visit SCAD on move-in day, so the area was bustling with new baby students and their parents, and the air was thick with excitement and potential. 🥲

How cute is this little beach area? We sat for a minute in the shade and listened to “My Girls” by Animal Collective while it played over the speakers. And then we wandered through a giant Patrick Dougherty stick sculpture (NC friends, you might recognize his work from NCMA in Raleigh)!

Scenes from a quality beach day on Tybee Island, which included wispy clouds, teeeeeny crabs, perfect waves, grassy dunes, local beers, and good books. We won’t discuss the ridiculous sunburn I received despite my responsible sunscreen usage.

Anniversary trip begins!

We found a few interesting things to see on our way down to Savannah yesterday:

• A big ol’ metal sculpture of a head at a random corporate office park in Charlotte

• A UFO welcome center that someone built by hand in their yard in Bowman, SC

• Two giant elephants out in front of Crazy Joe’s fireworks in Hardeeville, SC
