As dusk settled over the Riviera Maya, our community gathered for one final evening together.

Our final night was an unforgettable celebration of culture, connection, and community. Surrounded by the jungle, guests experienced a spectacular Mayan-inspired fire festival filled with mesmerizing performances, incredible cuisine, music, dancing, and moments that reminded us why gathering together matters.

This wasn’t just a dinner. It was an experience. One that brought people together around firelight, laughter, and new friendships that will last long after the final spark.

To every creative locally and from the US who poured their heart into bringing this evening to life, thank you. You helped us create something our community will never forget.

Our very first Emerge Event Collective gathering in NOLA was pure magic, an unforgettable dinner filled with connection, creativity, and community, followed by a Mardi Gras–style after party on the parade route. From the music and movement to the color, flavor, and soul in the room, every moment felt layered with intention and joy.

Our Boca Raton Overnight last week was nothing short of magic ✨

From an afternoon Mojitos & More cocktail-making class at the Beach Club to a sunset cocktail hour and dinner under the stars, every detail celebrated connection, creativity, and community. The night ended in true Emerge style—with an unforgettable dance party by Curate Entertainment that kept everyone on their feet well into the evening.

We spend so much time working beside one another. It’s a treat to sit beside one another, too.

Our evening at @thewhiteorchidfl in Miami gave us time to share a meal, get past the introductions, and learn a little more about the people behind the businesses.

That’s why we keep coming back to the table. A conversation over dinner gives us something to pick up the next time we meet, whether that’s at another gathering or while working together on someone else’s celebration.

A morning to learn. An afternoon to let it all sink in.

During our Beaver Creek Retreat, Irene Katzias @irenecoevents asked us to consider the personal cost of always being capable of more. Beyond the publications, revenue, and growth, are we building businesses that leave room for the lives we want?

Our panelists Heather Dwight @callunaevents, Brynn Swanson @firstlookco, and Kara Moon @enjouestudioevents continued that conversation with honesty about burnout, boundaries, and longevity. Staying grounded. Letting go of being available 24/7. Asking our peers for help. And paying attention to whether we still find joy in the work.

After our morning at @vilarpac, lunch at @thecharterbeavercreek gave us space to put some of that into practice. To slow down, share a meal, and enjoy being cared for ourselves.

Green and white tables, beautiful florals, and mountain sunshine welcomed us to stay awhile. The conversations continued over lunch as we shared our own experiences and got to know the people around the table beyond their businesses.

Our next Emerge Exchange is October 20! These casual, local gatherings give wedding and event professionals a chance to talk through what’s happening in their businesses, ask questions, and share what they’ve learned.

Each conversation is guided by a host, but everyone brings something to the table. Something you’ve figured out might be exactly what someone else needs to hear. And something you’ve been struggling with might feel a little more manageable once you’ve talked it through.

That’s why we keep coming together. Getting to know each other over time gives us people to turn to, learn from, and support long after the gathering ends.

This. This is the reward.

This photo was taken just moments before we opened the doors to our gala at the @emergeeventcollective Beaver Creek Retreat.

Kara and I had spent months pouring our hearts into this event. Countless hours of planning, problem-solving, collaborating, creating, and probably a few moments of wondering how on earth we were going to pull it all off.

We were exhausted. The kind of exhausted that only people in this industry truly understand.

And here we were, walking back to greet our guests for the evening, knowing that everything we had worked so hard for was finally coming together.

And we couldn’t stop laughing.

The relief. The pride. The joy. All of it.

I think this photo captures so much of what I love about our industry.

We pour our blood, sweat, and tears into creating extraordinary experiences for other people. But somewhere along the way, if we’re lucky, we find people who make the hard work feel a little lighter. People who show up, who care just as deeply as we do, and who remind us that the magic isn’t just in what we create. It’s in creating it together.

Collaboration isn’t just about combining talents. It’s about trusting each other, carrying each other through the hard parts, and getting to share the joy when it all comes together.

And to be this tired, this relieved, and still this genuinely happy?

That’s what makes it all worth it.

The beautiful events are wonderful. But the people we create them with? That’s the part that stays with us.

So grateful for moments like this and for the people who make this industry what it is.

And a special thank you to @davidnicholas.photo for capturing this moment so beautifully. I don’t think either of us realized just how much this photograph would mean to us. ❤️
