When we moved to Arizona almost 10 years ago, I knew I was ready for sunshine, desert views, and a whole lot less winter. What I didn’t know was how much I would fall in love with the community I’d find here, too.⁠

Cocktail hour at @rafflesboston for the @emergeeventcollective Boston Industry Dinner.

It’s no secret I’m a sucker for texture and drama. I love layers, movement, and details that make you look twice. A maximalist at heart, especially when flowers are involved.

Burgundy dahlias, dusty pink roses, and trailing amaranthus—from the bud vases to the statement bar arrangements, with the moody lighting at @theblind.duck bringing it all together.

Honored to be a designer and attendee amongst countless industry professionals in my city.

When I first started, I had no idea this would even be an option. It took a lot of reaching out, showing up to things that felt intimidating, hearing “no” (and sometimes nothing at all), and figuring it out as I went.

I’m still learning and figuring out what’s next, but I’m so grateful for every bride who trusts me with her wedding jewelry, every referral, and every person who’s supported ECJ along the way.

If you’re a creative looking to get into the wedding industry, I hope this encourages you to put yourself out there, even when it feels scary🤍

A little pause in the middle of wedding season. ✨

Fall is one of the busiest times of year in the New England wedding industry, and while I love the energy of the season, evenings like this are such a welcome reminder to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the company of the people who make this industry so special.

The Emerge Event Collective Fall Dinner at Raffles Boston was a beautiful evening spent catching up with some of my favorite industry colleagues, making new connections, and simply enjoying being on the other side of an event for a change.

There’s something so special about being surrounded by people who share a genuine passion for what they do. The conversations, the creativity, the relationships - they’re all part of what makes this community one I’m so grateful to be part of.

This. This is the reward.

This photo was taken just moments before we opened the doors to our gala at the @emergeeventcollective Beaver Creek Retreat.

Kara and I had spent months pouring our hearts into this event. Countless hours of planning, problem-solving, collaborating, creating, and probably a few moments of wondering how on earth we were going to pull it all off.

We were exhausted. The kind of exhausted that only people in this industry truly understand.

And here we were, walking back to greet our guests for the evening, knowing that everything we had worked so hard for was finally coming together.

And we couldn’t stop laughing.

The relief. The pride. The joy. All of it.

I think this photo captures so much of what I love about our industry.

We pour our blood, sweat, and tears into creating extraordinary experiences for other people. But somewhere along the way, if we’re lucky, we find people who make the hard work feel a little lighter. People who show up, who care just as deeply as we do, and who remind us that the magic isn’t just in what we create. It’s in creating it together.

Collaboration isn’t just about combining talents. It’s about trusting each other, carrying each other through the hard parts, and getting to share the joy when it all comes together.

And to be this tired, this relieved, and still this genuinely happy?

That’s what makes it all worth it.

The beautiful events are wonderful. But the people we create them with? That’s the part that stays with us.

So grateful for moments like this and for the people who make this industry what it is.

And a special thank you to @davidnicholas.photo for capturing this moment so beautifully. I don’t think either of us realized just how much this photograph would mean to us. ❤️
