8 days after our sweet three year old girl was diagnosed with cancer, she said goodbye. We never got to give you the backyard we promised you. Or the little (puppy) sibling. Or the work from home days where you could cuddle us the whole time. There are so many promises we made to you that we won’t get to keep because time is a thief and cancer sucks. But while I will forever grieve the moments lost, we will forever be grateful for the moments kept. The laps down the coastline. The tennis balls caught. The way every dog was your best friend and every snack was your treat now. The dreams you would dream and I’d dream alongside you. You’re not the first dog I’ve said goodbye to. You’re far from the last, either. But you’re different. You were mine, you were OURS, in so many special ways. You were there when your dad asked me to marry him. You were there when we both unexpectedly changed jobs, one after another. You were there in every small moment, wiggling your butt, paw in my hand. And while you may not be in this moment, you truly always will be mine, and always will be ours. You were meant to live forever in our hearts. headed back to Miami + had to revisit some spots as well as try some new ones! was only in the city for about 48 hours so all I did was work + eat 😂 what spots do I need to try next time I’m in miami!? and be sure to check out my last Miami post to see if I did anything different 💁🏼‍♀️ • • vegan in Miami, gluten free south Florida, Miami food, south Florida eats, plant based @puravidamiami being in the @shopdadeland mall is truly a lifesaver on work days!!! had to grab the avocado toast for lunch on delicious gluten free bread as well as a latte with almond milk. surprise! back at pura vida again to get their “welcome to Miami” smoothie to re-energize me through my work day! Dropped into @thecocinitamiami for the first time - a local vegan spot serving South American/Venezuelan food. Tried their yuca fries as well as a nacho inspired dish + I still think about this food two months later, 100% would recommend! The Cocinita, I promise I’ll be back!! Hopped off my plane and headed straight to South Beach to get @mistero1pizza 🍕 I may have had it last time I was in town but that wasn’t going to stop me! I’m a sucker for a yummy pizza and they have great gluten free crust and vegan cheese and a chili oil that’s to DIE FOR. My mailbox is open if you want to send me some of that chili oil thx!!! Before my flight out, stopped at @ojodeagua.usa after a recommendation from one of the installation team members I worked with. I grabbed a salad with tofu and while it was good - I found that they did not have gluten free options well labeled. I had mentioned my food allergies as one does, but didn’t feel super reassured or comfortable based on the tools and resources given to me. Was this a great salad? Totally. Would I revisit this spot as someone with food allergies? Probably not. Would I recommend it to someone who is looking for yummy and fresh food and a good vibe in Miami? what I ate vegan + gluten free in NYC!!!! I ate some really good food while in the city and I’m here to share! Finding vegan/dairy free food was quite easy, as many restaurants in New York City cater to a kosher diet. Gluten free? Unfortunately, not as easy - but you know I did it! Swipe to see what I ate! • • • gluten free eats, vegan food, gf vegan nyc, New York City food, vegan in New York @beyondsushinyc was my first stop on my trip and it was NOT a miss! An entire menu of vegan sushi was iconic and for the first time in years, I got to enjoy a bowl of miso soup!?! Sign me up again! Had to hit @poshpopbakeshop as I’ve been following them on social media for awhile! I was so excited to find an entirely gluten free bakery - but tbh I was pretty disappointed by the lack of vegan treats. My only options were this cake pop or an entire pie - which if you know me, you know I love pie…but i couldn’t justify carrying an entire pie on my solo trip around the city. So I grabbed this cake pop and a vegan coffee and kept on walkin’! The other patrons I met really enjoyed their treats so let’s take their word for it 🫶🏼 @chloesonbleecker was a huge win for me - so much so, that I did something I never do on my travels and visit a restaurant for a second time. I’ve followed Chloe’s story on social media for awhile and to know that she’s back and in full ownership of her brand is such a dream to support 💕 The whole spot is plant based and what of the menu wasn’t already gluten free could be modified. After a long day, I stumbled upon @jajajamexicana and tried the hearts of palm ceviche! Anytime I can try a vegan “ceviche” I always will, and the plantain chips were such a great added touch. I enjoyed my meal so much that you know I had to get a round two once I finished this plate… …so I ordered the esquites with almond Parmesan! Such a fun twist on a dish I can’t normally try @jajajamexicana 🫶🏼 a moment of silence for the tomatoes and tortilla chips you see here because this may be one of the last photos of @sweetgreen’s Guacamole Greens made the original way!!!! They’ve since changed their recipe for this dish I’ve been ordering since they came to Virginia 16 y taken in New York City by @emgallfran

three years ago today, we said goodbye to our three year old soul dog. it’s wild, raising the pup after - the one who heals your heart, but takes after her sister in so many ways. the one who knows we have no expectations of her but we would really like her to make it to four. the one who we’ve had for almost as long as we had Maren - but who could never replace her. the one who is so different & yet so in tune with a dog she never met. miss you everyday Mare Bear - what a treat it is to see bits and pieces of you all the time and always in your little sister Til 🫶🏼 by @emgallfran

that’s a wrap on my first men’s World Cup with @adidas !!! it’s been a wild and unforgettable season of life and the opportunities that have come my way in just the last few months have been memory making!!!!! what a treat it has been to travel the country for installs, attend a World Cup match, start a new job with an incredible team, and share the brand I love with the people I love! words cannot describe how grateful and thankful I am so maybe some photos will do it for me 🫶🏼 ¡VIVA ESPAÑA!
