2024 fall/winter photo dump

Had some highs, had some lows, but we made it. Onto the next year!

Behold, the most involved Halloween costume I think I’ve ever put together 😂

Some thoughts about grief, and my grandfather. This only scratches the surface. by @emiintransit

Ten years ago I went on a date that could have been the premise for a true crime podcast or a serial killer’s MO: woman gets in a car full of guns with a guy she barely knows and lets him drive her an hour into the absolute middle of nowhere to a deserted shooting range with no cell phone service… because what could have possibly gone wrong?!

Luckily, he wasn’t a serial killer, and I didn’t end up as the subject of a true crime show!

Jokes aside, it’s hard to believe it has been ten years since that fateful first date… Through better or worse, richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, we’ve both grown so much — not just as individuals, but as a team. Every day I find myself thanking the universe to have Nate in my corner.

So, here’s to ten years down, and to many more 🥂

Enjoy the wild contrast between the most recent photo of us and one of the earliest photos of us, only a few months into dating. 😂 by @emiintransit

A legend for all 98 years of his life.

I’ve stayed on campus until at least 8 PM once/week this whole year to advise MCSG Cabinet - student government members whose roles are to be liaisons with different departments based on specific issues/areas. This group of students has been an absolute joy to work with - watching them grow, support each other, ask tough questions, and create positive change through collaboration with departments and each other has been such a gift. This was a new committee, with new roles, so these students really set the tone and built the structure for future liaisons. I was genuinely bummed when I had to miss a meeting with them, because these meetings were a highlight in my week.

So grateful for this crew (plus Rola, Minori, and Amanda, who were also on cabinet but aren’t in the picture) 🧡💙

We had our last meeting on Thursday night - to celebrate, we got Nate to run a D&D one-shot for us 🥰 by @emiintransit
