POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Hi! It’s me. Emiko - Eh-Mee-Ko. She/her. Illustrator, Product Designer. Muralist and soon to be author.

I love illustrating picture books, working on freelance design projects, making murals and hosting storytimes!

I’m so grateful I get to do these amazing things for my job. I also meet some cool people along the way! So I just wanted to reintroduce myself since I have a few new acquaintances on here. Some of you don’t know the many facets of my creative biz 🌈✨

Thanks for your support always, either buying my art or products, working on a project with me, letting me paint something for you, buying/reading Nana and Abuela, or coming to my public events!

Let me know if you have any questions, I’ll just be in my studio drawing up some crazy ideas 😊🌈❤️ by @emikorainbow

I’m so excited to share that I’ve been selected as a Metropolitan Regional Arts Council (MRAC) Next Step Fund Recipient! 🌈🎉

This support gives me the opportunity to dedicate focused time to creating something that’s been living in my heart for a long time: my debut author-illustrated project!!!

Over the coming months, I’ll be developing my debut written and illustrated young graphic novel! Also I’ll be querying agents for my first time ever!

I can’t believe I’ll be working on dream projects that explore identity, belonging, imagination, and joy through colorful storytelling.

As an independent artist, time is often the hardest resource to find. This grant creates space to write, sketch, revise, and bring these stories closer to the bookshelf. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity and can’t wait to share more behind-the-scenes peeks as these projects come to life.

Thank you to @metroregionalartscouncil who has encouraged my creative journey. Your support means more than you know. Here’s to taking the next step. 💛📚🎨

This project is made possible by the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council through a grant from the McKnight Foundation

Go grab some of these cards now while they’re still around at your local TJ’s- Yay!

This card is perfect to give to someone that you want to celebrate, who sparkles and shines! 🪩✨🛼

This illustration took me hours from sketch to full illustration then months to actually hit the shelves. I hope you pick one up and enjoy it or give it to a friend.

Look what I found - The Mainstreet Halloween platter!

@e.q.gaston sent me a vid of these cuties in Eden Prairie. Even better in person! So vibrant and whimsy. I had to run and go grab one!

Each of these buildings were hand drawn at around 8”x11” then shrunk down to fit this platter. Which makes the details even more fun to look at!

Happy fall! Are you going to grab one of these for yourself? They work great for holding all your Halloweenie cookies and candy! 🎃🦇👻 by @emikorainbow

I can’t tag where these Halloween Witches Brewery Melamine Plates that I designed are exactly… But you can find them at a HOME store with Halloween GOODS near you! 😉😜

Tag me if you find them! You’ll also see a platter too! I haven’t hunted one down yet. by @emikorainbow

Hi! Now through October 15, you can see my artwork at the Excelsior Library! 🌈❤️

If you’re in the area, stop by, take a little break, and spend some time with the colors, characters, and happy energy that make up my work.

Thanks Excelsior Library for supporting local artists!

P.S. They still have the FREE summer program stickers I designed, so grab some of those too! 🥰 by @emikorainbow

Storytime at the MN State Fair!!! 🌈❤️📚

It was busy, vibrant and fun 🤩 @monicacavanaughrojas and I participated in the great Minnesota get together with MELSA in the TPT tent!

It’s crazy that Nana and Abuela was published in 2023 yet we’re still doing really fun events with our picture book to this day! Monica’s words and my illustrations have traveled near and far✨

I’m so grateful for this career ☺️ by @emikorainbow

A bouquet of dots for a beautiful soul.🔴⚪️✨

Queen of the polka dot, I can see why. Very therapeutic to make all the dots everywhere!

I encourage you to make some dots too, in honor Yayoi Kusama and bring a little peace to your life.

RIP girl friend. We had so much fun at your exhibit in Chicago a few years back, and all the years being inspired by your work, the love of pattern and to keep making art no matter what ❤️ by @emikorainbow

We lost a really good one 💖

Insanely talented, kind, generous and witty… What more could you ask for? I hope Dolly is with Carl Dean again dancing in the sky.
