POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
It’s taken me some time to put this year’s 4th Annual Women’s Retreat into words. When I first started hosting retreats, my goal was to provide hands-on learning, offering information on women’s health that wasn’t easily accessible. But a lot changes in five years. Today, information is everywhere—almost too much, making it hard to decipher fact from a good sale.

This year’s retreat wasn’t about more information. It was about connection—to self, to others, and to the universe. A shift in thinking. A new way of being. And something none of the participants realized they needed.

The photos capture what we did—hiking, zip-lining, rock climbing, journaling, meditations, a burning ceremony, game night (cue the belly laughs!), and an epic dance party—but they don’t capture what made this retreat truly special:

💫 The deep connections.
💫 The tears. The release. The ah-ha moments.
💫 The courage to step outside comfort zones.
💫 The personal growth. The friendships.

Ages ranged from 25 to 65, creating a powerful mix of perspectives, wisdom, and shared experience. I truly believe there are no coincidences—the right people always come together. And this year? It was magic.

Removing cell phones allowed us to drop into true presence, building deeper awareness and connection. Words and photos can’t fully capture what we shared, but I am so grateful—for every single person who showed up, for the energy they brought, and for the transformation we experienced together.

Thank you to everyone who trusted me with this experience.
@entranced_awakening & @collenrue for bringing my vision to life.
@kaeleeclifford for seamless logistics, smooth transitions & laughter.
@redmtnresort for your incredible hospitality.
And thank you, Mother Nature, for gifting us a perfect-weather weekend.

I wouldn’t change a thing. See you next year. 💫

You deserve space to talk about how you’re really feeling.
That’s where our work begins.
Every client relationship starts with a discovery call—a chance to slow down, share what’s on your mind, and experience what it feels like to work with me.
We might talk about food. We might also talk about stress, changing routines, or the stories that shape how you care for yourself. Those pieces are often deeply connected.
As a nutritionist and life coach, I bring together nutrition, mindset, and behavior to help you create lasting change that fits your life.
Maybe you’re navigating a new chapter. Maybe you’re ready to feel more calm, energy, and consistency in the life you already have.
You don’t need to have it all figured out before we talk.
Let’s start with a conversation. Book a discovery call through the link in my bio. by @emilee_wise

Last year, @emilee_wise and I took a chance on creating something a little different - an endurance retreat for WOMEN, by WOMEN, where training, learning, adventure, recovery and connection could all live under one roof.

And honestly? It was everything we hoped it would be…and more.

So we’re doing it again.

The REbuild Retreat 2027
April - Vancouver Island, BC, Canada
5 nights/6 days
An immersive, all inclusive, boutique training experience!

This is more than a training camp. It’s specifically designed for the PERI & POST Menopause female who want to surround themselves with other women who are in a similar time of life who are also figuring out how to become the best athletes they can be in the bodies and lives they have today. We will be talking hormones. Strength. Pelvic floor. Nutrition. Recovery.

With a small, intimate group, friendships will be made as we set out to explore the terrain around my home base on Vancouver Island. Acquire early season trail miles and skills to elevate your run/hike endurance.

3 spots remain! Details on website or send me a DM.

My dog was fifty feet away. I called her name—and she ran in the opposite direction.
Maggie had been missing for hours. The harder we tried to bring her back, the farther she ran.
What finally brought her home reminded me of something I keep learning: sometimes, the way forward begins with calming down, creating safety, and trusting enough to stop chasing.
Where in your life are you pushing harder when you might need to pause?

“You are what you eat” may be true—but it’s not the whole story.
How you eat, why you eat, and what your body truly needs matter just as much. In my latest newsletter, I’m looking beyond the plate—and inviting you to do the same.

Another rewarding week coaching at 29029 Trail in Park City.

There’s something I get to witness over and over in this community: individuals using endurance events to become better versions of themselves. Not just fitter - but more joyful, honest, resilient, and whole.

This week, that lesson came with a bonus. Thirty-plus hours in the aspens, watching the colors change and the leaves drop - alongside the challenges Mother Nature provided... teaching us all to adapt, accept, and change the lens in which we view success.

Nature offered a perfect metaphor for what we had just asked our Inner Circle the week before:

How do you use the changing season as an opportunity?

We posed the question: What are you letting go of (like the trees) , in order to make room for something beautiful to grow?

Sometimes it starts with the tangible. It’s often the easiest place to begin - eating habits, seasonal foods, exercise routines that no longer fit the season you’re in, clothes and clutter. But those small releases gradually lead somewhere deeper: the voices, the patterns, the mindless habits that have been running quietly in the background.

The work that truly changes people is a magical combination of the physical and the spiritual - the internal and the external. Which is exactly what many of the athletes experienced this past week.

The old stories. The patterns. The voice that shows up at mile 20 and asks you to step up and find a way through.

So as the leaves drop and the seasons change, I ask all of you: what have you outgrown and need to shed? And what are you consciously choosing to nurture before spring comes back around?

That’s the work - whether you’re running three marathons in three days, or simply sitting quietly with yourself at the turn of a season.

What does it cost us when we repeatedly ignore what we know to be true?
We all have an inner voice, the quiet, steady knowing beneath the noise. But when fear, expectations, people-pleasing, and the desire to make the “right” choice get louder, that voice can be easy to override.
I know because I’ve done it.
Over time, living out of alignment doesn’t affect only how we feel emotionally. The tension can show up in our energy, our nervous system, our habits, and our relationship with our bodies.
You cannot always food or exercise your way out of what your mind and nervous system are running.
In my latest article, I’m sharing what I’ve learned about listening to the body, trusting our inner knowing, and choosing a life that feels true. even when that choice is unconventional.
This is also the heart of our 2027 Wise Women’s Wellness Retreat:
LET HER SPEAK
The Voice That Was Always Yours

This Summer Orange Spritz is bright, refreshing and easy to make—the perfect drink for a warm afternoon, dinner outside or gathering with friends.

Community isn’t an extra. It is part of our well-being.

We spend so much time talking about nutrition, movement, sleep and hormones—and all of those things matter.

But so does being known.

So does having a place where you can speak honestly, be witnessed without judgment and sit beside women who understand the particular terrain you are navigating.

Female connection is not a luxury. It supports our resilience, our sense of belonging and our ability to move through change without feeling as though we have to carry everything alone.

This is at the heart of the Wise Inner Circle.

We begin in September.

If you’ve been longing for deeper connection and meaningful support in this next chapter, I would love to welcome you.

What if fitness wasn’t about being ready for everything—but staying close enough to ready that you can say yes when something extraordinary calls?
After months of navigating an injured knee, I said yes to guiding a 43-mile journey around Mount Hood.
It reminded me that adventure is equal parts preparation and trust. Trust your body. Choose the voice that carries you forward. Surround yourself with people who help you keep moving. And don’t let fear make the decision for you.
Being “adventure ready” isn’t just about fitness. It’s a way of living.

Summer food should feel like summer itself: fresh, colorful, uncomplicated and meant to be enjoyed.

This peach, tomato and burrata salad brings together the best of the season—ripe peaches, garden tomatoes, fragrant basil and creamy burrata, finished with olive oil, balsamic glaze and a little flaky salt.

Simple ingredients. Almost no cooking. And proof that nourishing food doesn’t have to feel like work.

Save this one for your next warm evening, garden lunch or last-minute gathering. 🍑🍅🌿

Travel can be wonderful—and it can also be stressful, overstimulating and surprisingly exhausting.

Over the years, I’ve learned that bringing along a few familiar comforts helps me feel more grounded wherever I am.

My summer travel essentials include clean sunscreen and hydration for long days outdoors, a soft silk sleep mask to make rest a little easier, readers I can actually find in my bag (and that are actually fun), and a beautiful book that helps me slow down and return to myself.

*Loving What Is* by Byron Katie is one I return to again and again. Travel gives us a rare opportunity to step outside our routines, notice our thoughts and create a little more space around them.

And, of course, it all needs to fit into a bag that is both beautiful and practical.

These things may be small, but caring for yourself while traveling often is: protecting your skin, prioritizing rest, staying hydrated and making room for something that nourishes your mind.

A few of my favorite summer travel companions:

☀️ The Summer Sun Set from Counter
😴 Blissy Silk Sleep Mask
👓 Peepers Readers
📖 *Loving What Is* by Byron Katie
👜 CALPAK Luka Duffel

What is the one comfort you never travel without?
