For years, I lived in two realities. One everyone could see. And one, no one knew existed.

The little girl who cried herself to sleep never imagined she would have a future worth dreaming about. But Jesus did.

Looking back now, I’m overwhelmed by the faithfulness of God. He met me in places no one else could see and has been writing a story of redemption far beyond anything I could have imagined.

There are parts of this story I’ve never shared publicly. Over time, I want to tell more of it. Not to glorify the pain, but to testify to the faithfulness of Jesus.

And maybe someone needs to hear this today: The chapter you’re living in right now is not the whole story. 🤍

A lot of strong Women I know had such varied reactions to becoming Mothers. Secretly I wondered where on the spectrum I would fall in my Mothering experience. I waited for the ball to drop with my first pregnancy, birth, postpartum and then my second pregnancy, while chasing a toddler and two under two….. and I’m still waiting for the ball to drop. My kids are my greatest gifts!!!! Mothering is who I am and my calling as a Woman and leader is grounded in this reality.

I know Women have all kinds of circumstances and different situations and I’m not making light of challenges… I’ve had my fair share of struggles and growing pains as a Mom and I’m only 3 years in. My point is that Motherhood should make you MORE of who you are not LESS. Being “with the kids” is freaking epic and where Jesus wanted to be.

I had no idea what my yes would become. Truly a life of impact I couldn’t have imagined being part of. Jesus is the main character of my story and I’ll never stop preaching that Jesus’s way is the best way. I decided to go all in for Jesus and give Him my wholehearted yes and that was the single best decision of my life.

I’m 34 and I’m not embarrassed to admit:

1. Some of my greatest seasons of ministry success or personal accomplishment have overlapped with some of my hardest seasons of life. It’s a weird tension…

2. I’m a person people share things with. At times it’s still hard for me to open up to people when I’m walking through something tough.

3. I’ve gotten so much conflicting advice from people on marriage, motherhood etc over the years… I’ve learned to distill it, and I don’t feel bad anymore about disagreeing or agreeing with people.

4. Coming to terms that some breakthroughs are instant and others can take forever or never come at all has been an agonizing process. Learning how to long suffer well.

5. For years I put so much pressure on myself to be better, do things faster and be farther ahead. That was exhausting me… now I focus on building in my present season and just do a few things at a time and I have so much more peace.

6. Being a Mother has been the biggest exercise of looking into the mirror. Facing attitudes, habits and patterns that I don’t want to pass down. It’s been the single biggest motivation for my personal development.

7. I’ve grown so much but I’m still working through my childhood from time to time.

8. The older I get the more aware I become of my desperate need for Jesus every single day. Like, the Gospel just keeps getting more real to me year over year. Thank you Jesus for your rescue!

9. I used to complain about God’s preparation and school of development… thinking I didn’t really need it. But seeing old videos of myself I’ve had the most humbling experience…. Thanking God for His patience with me and my sassy attitude. I needed EVERY SINGLE REBUKE and training moment to mature into the leader God was preparing me to become. I will never graduate from Gods school of leadership…

The older I get the more I admire the Women who have come before me. Faithfulness to Jesus, a healthy marriage, kids who thrive, a life of impact…. Not to mention how many roles women fill in a given week… it’s not for the faint of heart. The older I get, I still have big dreams but mostly I want to do the MOST important things well.

I can’t stop smiling!!!!!! An unforgettable weekend in God’s presence at The Send Conference ❤️‍🔥

Still processing but here are some highlights!!

1. The atmosphere of faith and spiritual hunger of thousands of believers who want to reach this generation for Jesus.
2. 1,510 people committed to reach their High Schools, Universities, Neighborhoods, Nation and serve vulnerable children.
3. Getting to build this campaign alongside the entire SEND team has been such a privilege.
4. Our whole @circuitriders crew throwing down together meant the world.
5. Our band @circuitridermusic leading worship 🫶
6. Nick turned 35!!!!!
7. Our kids getting to experience the power and presence of God with us.
8. The Send Conference is coming back to Southern California 2027!!!!!!

A week of prep for a project we have been working on for 2.5 years. The Send exists to close the gap between a world reached and a world still waiting. Looking back my mid 20s was such a defining season of my life. I didn’t realize how much the choices I made during that season would shape me and impact the trajectory I’m on now. My encouragement is this… conviction is forged in fire, under pressure. Cling to Jesus, His word, and walk with people who will call you higher.

This season matters more then you might think. So embrace the stretching, embrace the formation of new habits, embrace God’s process of development. Believe it or not, God has a bigger plan for your life than you can imagine, and He’s getting you ready to carry it.

Ecclesiastes 3:1
“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.”

Galatians 6:9
“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”

I’ve had a front row seat to a lot of seasons in your life, watching you step into new territories. Of all the things we have built together, our family is my favorite. This chapter as you’ve stepped into Fatherhood has only deepened my respect and gratitude for you. Thank you for being a Dad who stewards our family so well, leads us into deeper gratitude and faith and always a dance party/ adventure. Happy Father’s Day to you Nick. As the kids say “I love you to the Moon and back.”
