The Send Conference this weekend was a DREAM! So thankful to the Lord for all He did in our lives! @thesend

In a place where many would say it’s impossible. In one of the most convenient and comfortable places to live on earth. A generation gathered to say Yes to go anywhere and do anything for Jesus no matter the cost!

The Church is very much ALIVE in California!

2 years of building together.
600+ churches.
5000+ gathered.

All for Jesus and joining Him in His mission to reach a generation with His love!

1500+ committed to reach their campuses, neighborhoods, the nations and vulnerable children.

I feel so privileged to be a part of the team working to make this vision a reality. And I want to thank every pastor, leader and partner who believed with us to make it possible!

We are just getting started!

Messick Family Life Update!🌟

We’re MOVING!! After 14 years on the Golden Coast of California, our family is taking our next steps in life and moving east! This weekend, we will begin our journey to our new home and ministry in Virginia. We have accepted positions at Chip’s home church, which we cherish and deeply believe in, as middle school youth pastors!

There are too many words to share in this tiny post about the treasured memories, people, experiences California has brought my life—how do you sum up 14 years???? All I can say now is that when I was a young girl I would dream of a life in California. This place had always called me. I can only believe it was God preparing me for my life to come. At 19, I was given an opportunity to play soccer at Westmont College, and my dream became my home. Quickly, my home became a part of me. After i graduated, I got a job working at a tiny church in Laguna Beach, which launched me into my full time career in youth ministry, and where I met YWAMers for the first time. After meeting them, I felt God calling me to the mission field. After 6 months of DTS in Hawaii & Norway, I returned to Orange County, as a full time missionary with Circuit Riders. This is the environment God used to shape my purpose, passions, and leadership gifting. I met my best friends, my husband, and traveled to dozens of nations to share about Jesus with the lost. I got engaged, married, and birthed my daughter in this place. Experienced loss and grief and victory. I was given permission to be myself, to dream, to catalyze, to use my voice. No place or ministry is perfect, and I’ve navigated hardships along the way, but I truly believe in the vision of this ministry and would not be who I am today without the leaders who have raised me up, prayed for me, believed in my dreams, and propelled me forward.

I cannot believe our time here has come to an end, and it is a privilege to reflect on what God has done in my life here over the years. California will always be my heart’s home—but for now we follow the Lord to Virginia, start our next ministry assignment as a family, and prepare to welcome our SON this fall!! Glory to glory 🤠

Brian Brennt 🤍

He really was pops. More than a leader, boss, or person you reported to. He was a dad. And an incredible one at that. So many of us were fathered by him in ways that shaped, transformed, rebuked, aligned, and healed us into our original design. It’s like he had an eagle eye and the craziest faith for what was possible in each of our lives; and he believed WILDLY for us to become all that heaven said, even when we feared or doubted. He was dead to religion — like, dead dead. It was unnerving, sometimes offensive, and deeply refreshing. Right when you thought you needed to be put in the penalty box, out came the celebration, complete with ice cream. He relished learning and loved process. And he understood that JOY really is the serious business of heaven.

B changed my life as a broken 22 year old who knew zero percent just how valuable she was to God or what she could possibly offer this earth. And he’s still changing my life today as the messages, speeches, training moments, way he fathered his kids and loved + served Christy, and the pictures in my head of him weeping on his knees in intercession— like he did for a Black American missions movement— still pierce my heart. The fact that my scholarship for my masters degree is named after him is poetic, to say the least. B demonstrated adoptive love, gritty faith, gospel action, and permission granted. I loved him dearly and miss him immensely.

Coach. Pops. Snackman. Friend.
He wasn’t perfect but he gave his all;
rich in mercy, lavish in love.
His legacy lives on,
in a company of people given fully to the Gospel.
