Recruiters use Boolean searches to find candidates, but you can flip the strategy and use them to find jobs! 👀

✅Step 1: Go to your favorite search engine (I use Google).

✅Step 2: Pick an applicant tracking system to search. A lot of companies host their job postings on platforms like Ashby, Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, or others.

✅Step 3: Start your search with the site you want to search:

For Example - site:jobs.ashbyhq.com

✅Step 4: Add the job titles you’re looking for using quotation marks + OR:

For Example - (“recruiting coordinator” OR “talent coordinator” OR “talent acquisition coordinator”)

✅Step 5: Add additional keywords:

For Example - (“remote” OR “work from home”)

✅ Step 6: Put it together:

For Example- site:jobs.ashbyhq.com (“recruiting coordinator” OR “talent coordinator” OR “talent acquisition coordinator”) (“remote” OR “work from home”)

✅ Then swap out the titles, keywords, and ATS depending on what you’re looking for.

Save this for your next job search, follow for more career tips, and best of luck! 🤞

Storytime of navigating my chronic illness in college and still graduating with 10+ job offers!

If you’re failing a class, navigating a health issue, or just feeling behind — please know that you still have so much time to get ahead. Your experiences are unique to you, so you cannot compare yourself to others. 🫶

Interviewing is the biggest part of the recruiting process, and just answering technical skills correctly usually isn’t enough to land the job. Being able to communicate clearly, connect and be personable with your interviewer, and share examples of resilience is HUGE! Your setback can be your biggest strength when interviewing, IF you frame it correctly.

Sharing some of my favorite free resources:

✅ @theforage_ - Free virtual job simulation
✅ @limeconnect - Network of students and professionals with disabilities. They often host virtual networking events and different opportunities.
✅ @citi - Hosts a free “Early ID” program (I participated in this). Applications just closed yesterday.
✅ bcg - Hosts a virtual series called “Launch” for undergraduate and non-MBA master’s students. Registration is open now
✅ @aspenideas - hosts a “Rising Generation” all-expenses-paid conference for 18-24 year-olds. I’m attending this conference this year!
✅ @homefromcollege - website with paid gig work. A lot of paid UGC or student ambassador opportunities!

Also not sponsored but I love @joyride because the packaging is so easy for me to open with arthritis and it’s delicious lolol 😛

3 free video essays you should watch (instead of doomscrolling) to improve your critical thinking skills!

I’ll be the first to admit that I love a good doomscroll. However, there’s so much great content online that’s both educational and interesting — so I wanted to highlight that!

@gremlita, @pursuitofwonder, and @bigthinkers are all fantastic @youtube channels with really great deep dives 💻

Attention all majors! 🚨🚨🚨 Registration is open for BCG Launch, a free + virtual program that prepares undergraduate and master’s students for the consulting recruiting process.

I participated in BCG Advance last year, and that experience allowed me to go from not knowing anything about consulting to landing a six-figure BCG internship!

Best of luck, and follow for more opportunities! 🥠

About 6 months ago, I started exploring marketing and social media because I found social platforms really interesting! I’ve always been passionate about helping students find opportunities and resources to succeed, so I started creating content around that, too.

Startup founders saw me organically show up on their feeds, and I began getting tapped about Head of Socials and Founding Head of Marketing roles. Previously, I had zero experience with marketing, but my social media pages served as proof that I understood platforms and how to connect with an audience.

I share this information not to brag but to encourage you. If you’re unemployed, feel stuck, or want to pivot into something new — it is possible. Posting videos online was one of the hardest things I’ve done (I was incredibly embarrassed), but it has also been the most worthwhile thing I’ve done. I’ve received incredible opportunities, and I’ve been able to help other students and young professionals which has always been my goal.

Whether it’s a social media page, a portfolio, a project, or something else — building proof of your capabilities will get you far. I’ve decided to pursue something else, but having such an insane opportunity has shifted my completely. And my goal is for YOU to have the opportunities you’re looking for.

I actually participated in this program during my sophomore year of college, and it helped me land/prepare for my interview at @citibank!
