What a way to end the season.

This one was special, it was for Ol, for Maya, for all my friends/family who support me and finally, for all the mama’s out there trying to get the balance right. 🫶

It’s easy to lose yourself when you become a parent, not really recognise your former life, everything in my life has changed over the past few years from Maya to my career but one thing has stayed consistent. My relationship with moving my body and sport.

It’s stayed consistent, but it has changed, the focus on finish times becomes more about finish lines. The sheer privilege it is to be able to move my body like this.

Attitude of gratitude.

On paper, this race was probably my weakest of the year, but I had the best time and enjoyed every moment, that’s what we’re here for. I just finished the hardest course I’ve ever had to do! I’m pretty proud of that!

Finishing this one of with the biggest thank yous to @olliestringer, my best friend, coach, bike mechanic, sports masseuse, cheerleader and the best dad to Maya I could ever wish for. Without his support I wouldn’t be doing any of this!

Having worked with @run_north_west a lot over the past year or so it was a no brainer when they asked if I wanted to officially become part of the team 🥹

RNW isn’t just a retailer, the team is so dedicated to growing the running community which is evident if you’ve ever been in-store or to one of their events! I am super grateful for all the projects we’ve worked on together so far and now to officially collaborate is a dream.

As part of becoming an RNW athlete I now have a code for you all that you can use against their incredible range of products, EMILY15 to save yourself some money 🤝

A training day with a medal to finish 🫶

Swim/bike went to plan, controlled and steady effort, at some points on the bike I could have got carried away but kept myself reined in and remembered why we’d decided to ‘race’ this way.

This was also for the plan for the run but in all honesty this is where it got tough! Not surprising at all but also harder than I wanted it to feel. My body has been through a lot lately and it was a lot to ask it to do a 70.3 today, proud of my little legs for getting to that red carpet 🥰

Now to go and enjoy a lovely meal with my top cheerleader 🫶 @olliestringer @team26performance

70.3 number 8… I think? 🤔

I’ll be honest, done no where near as much training as I’d have liked for this BUT at least I’ve finally made it to an Ironman start line this year 🥹

Time to go out steady and hold on tight when it undoubtably gets tough 🫶

Not sure if a non-carbon plated shoe PB is a thing, but if it is I just ran one 🤪

The best time today at @mcrhalf with @run_north_west and @asicsrunning thank you so much for having me! 🐝🧡

@asicsrunning superblasts were a dream for @mcrhalf @run_north_west 😮‍💨

As I mentioned in my recent review of my shoe rotation, this shoe has been a staple for me since it was released earlier this year!

I’d normally prefer a carbon shoe for a HM but the superblasts really showed up today 🤝

The overall event today was epic, I haven’t done this race in a few years and I’ll definitely be back again.

We were fuelled of @styrkr.uk gel30 (x 3) & a combination of 2000’s EDM classics with a splash of pitbull coming through my @shokzuk opendot 2, bought these this week and so glad I did!

Now to recover… T-2 weeks till my next race…
