Closing in after 30 weeks of training and consistency. Thank you @keithwoodcoach for believing in me and being so encouraging throughout this entire process. This has been, without a doubt, the most mentally challenging thing I have ever done, and I am thankful to have a coach who cared, showed up, supported and challenged me all along the way. 3 days out!!! some transparency and realness for today 🙌🏻

The picture on the left is from Friday’s check in, and the right is from this morning. Between these pictures, there is a 3lb weight difference, a big reason being my good ole menstrual cycle decided to make her appearance on Friday. At first, I allowed the number on the scale to get in my head, and it made me feel as if the work I had put in over the course of that week “didn’t count.” I had to come to terms with the fact that it’s very normal for my body to fluctuate, and factors such as water retention, inflammation and bloating all play a role in the silly number that I allowed to get in my head. During intense time periods such as a competition prep, it’s EXTREMELY easy to become obsessive over the physique and weight. So much so, that one little mix up can make you feel as though you’ve failed. A reminder that your body can fluctuate and still be progressing 🫶✨🙌🏻🕺 Keep moving forward and continue to work hard! by @emma.fitnotes
