I went to see @benwulfphoto for a few pics, after admiring his work from afar on Instagram, and we ended up discovering that I'd once kipped over at his flat about 20 years ago. This industry gets smaller the longer you spend in it! by @emma.manton.actor

Went to @royalalberthall last night to celebrate my Dad's 90th with a screening of Brassed Off, with all the music played by @grimethorpeband. Extra bonus when this popped up on the screen. Amazing evening by @emma.manton.actor

The Bacchae in rehearsal, before we head off on a Nationwide @nationaltheatre Schools Tour.

I love this work and feel so privileged to be invited to do it.

I'm directing this in December for The Albert Hall!

Adapted from Michael Morpurgo 's story by Jenifer Toksvig with the BBC concert orchestra, the National Youth Choir and a lovely group of actors. Should be a lovely Christmas treat.

Here's the blurb...

This Christmas, discover a re-telling of the nativity in this heartwarming, carol-filled adventure based on Michael Morpurgo's beloved book, On Angel Wings, illustrated by Quentin Blake.

On Christmas night, a shepherd family receives an extraordinary visit from the Angel Gabriel. When their youngest daughter, Hannah, is drawn into an unexpected adventure, she embarks on a journey of wonder and hope. Guided by the Angel Gabriel, Hannah discovers the true spirit of Christmas.

Relive this magical story and sing along to some of your family’s favourite carols from Ding Dong Merrily On High, to Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, with the BBC Concert Orchestra, the National Youth Choir and a cast of actors.

Happy 25th Birthday to @tallstories The Gruffalo On Stage.

I was 'Mouse' back in 2003, when very few people knew the book (possibly the 3rd person to play Mouse after @portraits_aliceparsloe). We toured Ontario and the NE USA, from Toronto to Atlantic City, via Detroit, Baltimore and Vermont, finishing with a Christmas Residency in Maidenhead - just as The Office Christmas Aprcials were airing. That was a good year!

3 actors and 1 stage manager in a van. No Sat Nav. Sharing motel rooms. I don't remember us ever falling out! Back in a time when press photos were black and white.

I was, of course, VERY young then.
