Went to see the rehearsed reading of David Edgar’s play ‘Destiny’ with @rogerallam090 @akshay_a_khanna @emma.manton.actor @_boaden_ @greghicks851 Geoffrey Streatfield and MarkQuartley. The reading was presented by @bylinetimes with Editor Hardeep Matharu playing several roles and chairing a panel discussion afterwards. The reading came on the play’s 50th anniversary. Chilling how relevant it is for our current times. It needs a revival, by one of our major theatres - @nationaltheatre @thersc @therepbirmingham @bristololdvic1766 @newwolsey - who is up for it?

A lot of things can happen in a headshot and portrait session. A lot of things can happen before one and I hope that an infinite amount of things can and will happen after one. There are some almost certainties. I’ll take photos. There will be lights, either the suns or LEDs, maybe a strobe or maybe just our own inner illuminations. There will be mint tea unless the imps are off duty and out running wild in wilderness. I will be stoked about taking photos of your face. Faces are great and I love them all. But THEN there is always the chance of the unexpected, the bizarre, the acts of god that hurtle in from nowhere and thrust a challenge into the space. Weird and wondeful things DO happen and we must be ready. So yes, I could waffle on about Emma and her platinum encrusted career bouncing between iconic TV shows like the office and grand companies like the RSC and the National BUT what has to be brought to light, what I cannot hide from the world is that mid shoot, unheralded and almost unannounced, Emma produced and consumed an ENTIRE slice of TREACLE TART. There. It’s out there. Do with it what you may. #actor #actors #actorsheadshots #theoffice #headshotslondon
