Happy birthday to my Cimarron!! Silly girl is 2, and while we don't officially know her birthday with her being a former stray, I think this one will do just fine.

Cim has brought myself and others so much joy this summer, and I'm so happy that I get to call her mine. I knew I wanted to get a dog this year, and while she wasn't one I had been thinking to get, when I messaged @clara_hopkin10 asking about what dog I should start fostering, Cimarron was one of her suggestions. I'm so glad she did, I knew instantly that she was the dog for me. I'm so grateful to everyone at @carehumanesociety that took care of her the year she was at the shelter, that loved and waited for her to find her family.

If you have any ability, support your local humane society or animal rescue. This summer has been really hard, especially for dogs as adoptions have been low but intakes high. Even if you can't foster or adopt, volunteering and donating helps so much with costs and giving all the pets the attention and time they deserve. taken in Auburn, Alabama by @emma.maxson
