So while these very talented actors have just worked their butts off on stage and are rightly taking their justly deserved bows…. I’m capturing the audience’s reaction at the back 😊

And I’m feeling ALL the feels as the audience spontaneously get to their feet to dance, to sing, to laugh, to clap 🥰👏💜

There’s no better feeling in the world knowing you’ve increased joy in people’s lives even if just for one moment.

Having worked my butt off for about eight months prior to this very moment, shaping the vision, steering the creative ship, collaborating with the writer and the team, seeing it land so amazingly with the audience is such a buzz 🥰🙌

In this very moment the audience seem so joyful, happy, entertained, moved and connected …. And I’m so delighted I helped make that happen 🥰

And after all ain’t that what life’s all about? - creating more joy, understanding, empathy and connection to each other, in our own ways and to the best of our abilities 💜

Full of gratitude and pride for the talented cast:

& Eithne Browne

Well, that was a different kinda night for me! Called in at the last moment to cover for the lovely Eithne Brown who was poorly.. marking my second debut (if that's even a thing!) performing at Liverpools Royal Court in a show I've directed!
Wishing Eithne a speedy recovery - and huge thanks to the cast and crew who are supremely talented. It was an honour to share the stage with you and experience your work up close, as opposed to in the rehearsal room or at the back of the stalls. These guys are immense! Go see the show before it ends (29 Aug).

Honestly I couldn’t be more proud of these moments when the whole audience is up at the curtain call of a show I’ve directed. #madeup #theatredirector #takemehomecountyroad #liverpoolsroyalcourt
