Top 5 Austin Coffee Shops in my Spreadsheet!

I have tried 50+ coffee shops in the last year or so and compiled them into my handy dandy spreadsheet. The sheet uses a weighted formula to create a score for each coffee shop based on Taste, Vibe, In House Roasting, Cost and more. There are so many amazing coffee shops in Austin. Some of my all time favorites aren’t even in the top 5 🤭

Austin has two bonds on the 2026 ballot, for parks and libraries. And to understand how much these bonds can do, here are a few things past bonds have already made possible. 🌳

🌳 Improvements at Edward Rendon Sr. Park at Festival Beach 🌳 Kicked off the creation of Colony Park District Park, and fully funded its new pool 🌳 Funded Treviño Park, with construction set to start this fall 🌳 Saved the Barton Creek Greenbelt from development 🌳 Built our iconic downtown Central Library

From trails to neighborhood parks to libraries, these places exist because Austinites voted to invest in them. And when it comes to land and green space, we have to take the opportunity when we can, because once it’s gone, it’s gone.

The 2026 bonds are the next chapter. Vote YES on Prop A this November. 🌱

Places that feel like old Austin: @scholzgarten

Since 1866 this shaded German beer garden has been pouring cold ones under the oaks. It’s not only the oldest operating business in Texas but the oldest beer garden in America.

Come for 20+ German drafts, bratwurst, and Bavarian pretzels alongside Texas fare. Stay because it’s welcoming, a little rowdy on game day, and no frills.

They don’t make ’em like this anymore.

Coolest new cocktail bar in North Austin is @foxtail.atx

The interior design really is so dreamy and elevated. A great place to have a couple drinks with the girls or impress your classiest friend. 🍸

They regularly have vinyl spins and are starting a new movie night series this fall. If you like a drink with a little kick I definitely recommend the Strawberry Sting 🍓🦂 taken in Austin, Texas by @emmainatx

@radioeastaustin after dark 🌝

Radio East has easily become one of my favorite new venues in Austin.

They always have great drinks, great people and great music.

One of the biggest upcoming events in Austin is the @levitation music festival in September.
Expect a full weekend packed with awesome music!🎶

Far too often so I go somewhere with cute drinks only to find they don’t taste great or they aren’t strong enough… this is not that place!! @hanghartatx

They’re drinks were fun, delicious and had just the right amount of “kick” 😉

Two food items I would definitely recommend are their wings and the steak burrito! They also have lots of shareable options. Great spot to start and evening out IMO

@souppeddler really is that girl!!
I remember visiting Austin when I was younger and thinking “how the heck do they have a place that sells only soup.”

But the truth is it is so lovely to have a spot you can get a meal that feels healthy and is pretty decently priced even while on the go.
