Welcome to @chekhovstudiony inspiring actors as artists with @emmaliz.w on aspects of this technique: 1 of 4 elements Chekhov suggests are present in any great piece of art = “A feeling of beauty”
.
What’s that?! We encourage you to play with it and find out. What is the experience in a feeling of beauty? What does it have to do with art? What value does it have for you the actor, creative? Cut through preciousness, sentiment or vanity and seek it in its vital essence. Reach out let us know what you come to. Or want more content on these creative working aspects? #michaelchekhov #michaelchekhovtechnique #actors #actingtechnique by @emmaliz.w

Favorite ferment creation combo of the moment is preserved lemon, fermented hot sauce and salt cured olives all grown on site here @heartwood_farms

I used them the other night in a vegan amaranth stuffed peppers recipe I improvised. Our house is working to be low sugar, carb and dairy. The umami flavor of the ferments helps you not miss the melted cheese.

What’s your favorite combo right now? by @emmaliz.w

Courageously @lenard.petit you went into the night, my dear friend and guide. There is more yet to come. Now however you are free of the physical body so loved and also burdensome. With all my heart I share this grief in this small joyous seen moment. To all that are writing condolences my way and of course to his family thank you and I’m with you too in your grief of a teacher gone. Emma by @emmaliz.w

Lenard’s re-encounter with an old inspiration-Opening the door to Michael Chekhov’s Psychological Gesture. Actors, what are your encounters and inspirations that activate this part of the technique for you?

From the Museum description, “The Burghers of Calais exemplifies Rodin’s ability to convey psychological states through gesture…Here, the artist emphasizes forward movement and physical power…yet the bent head…suggests the continuing internal conflict between heroic self-control and despair.” @brooklynmuseum
