@SFBallet returned to @JacobsPillow for the first time since 1956, lighting up the outdoor Henry J. Leir Stage and the Ted Shawn Theatre with a program blending exquisite classical technique and innovative choreographic visions. 🩰✨

Earlier this month, Resnicow’s @EmmaSGold traveled to the Berkshires with the company to experience its week-long residency at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival:

“Tucked away in the small town of Becket, MA, Jacob’s Pillow is a dance lover’s haven, and where the legendary San Francisco Ballet made its East Coast debut 70 years ago. Witnessing their return—and the audience’s excitement—under the direction of Artistic Director Tamara Rojo was pure magic, with breathtaking pas de deux set against a mountainous vista and powerful ensemble works that transformed the historic, wood-clad Ted Shawn Theatre.”

ok long post for valentine’s and then we’re done (for now) 💘

when i look at photos from our wedding weekend, i think: this is exactly how it feels to be in love with alex. equal parts warm and tender, ecstatic and glittery, coordinated (of course) while fully ourselves, and strengthened every step of the way by our beautiful constellation of family & friends.

with no obligation to tradition, planning and designing our wedding from scratch was a labor of love in every sense, spending months painstakingly sourcing an (almost) entirely vintage and secondhand wardrobe, designing our invitation suite, handpicking our vendors, and crafting everything from playlists to matchbooks to temporary tattoos.

finally arriving at last weekend was surreal and daunting. but what we couldn’t have planned was the magnitude of sweetness, connection, and camaraderie that emerged from bringing our little constellation together. even on an extraordinarily cold weekend, you could have seen the glow from space.

and then, of course, we got married. the funny thing is, alex and i have been calling each other wives since our third month of dating. there was never any doubt that we were locked in for life. but this could not have been a more beautiful send off for many, many more years of love and adventure and making every song about our cats and dancing in the kitchen and dental insurance.
