A recent study by Emmie Finnegan, a B.Sc. Environmental Health (soon to be) graduate from Technological University Dublin, sheds light on the health risks associated with noise exposure in Dublin’s nightlife scene.

Her research, conducted across five nightclubs, reveals alarming findings about sound levels, health risks, public awareness, and the need for regulatory improvements.

Artists spotlight: EMMIE

In just under 2 weeks long time friend of Artificial, Emmie joins us once again alongside Wise guy for their debut b2b to kick things off ahead of Malin Genies Tengu debut.

Emmie has been a long lasting force in the Irish scene, from closing Frame last season to supporting Saoirse in block and making her Fuinneamh festival debut earlier this month, it’s been a real honour for us to watch her career flourish as she sold out our first ever down the local.

Expect some serious house flavours from start to finish on the 10th of October as Emmie sets the tone alongside Wise guy.

Tickets available via Ra- link in our bio.

See you on the dancefloor,

The first edition of Resonate lands this Friday in collaboration with @wigwamdublin , a new series dedicated to platforming the very best of both international and local talent with an extended set format and affordable fixed rate ticket pricing.

We caught up with @emmiee33 ahead of her all night long performance on the terrace as part of the series, as she takes us on a deep archival dive into her career thus far.

She shared tracks, moments and people around her that have shaped her as an artist and DJ.

Not long to go now, all online tickets are a flat €15.

Synked X @soap.ire

Introducing Irish DJ @emmiee33

Originally from Kildare but living in Dublin, EMMIE first came onto the scene back in October 2022 and since had gigs in many places in Dublin such as Wigwam, The Cellar, Block and Tengu, supporting various different well known artists such as Saoirse, Frazier, D.Dan, Shampain, Ned Bennett, Vromo, and JSPRV35. She has played gigs in various nightclubs in Galway, Cork and had two international gigs in Berlin and Liverpool.

EMMIE's style consists of house, garage, minimal and techno but mainly old school sounds from the 90s to 00s. She takes inspiration from many old school artists and loves to share this kind of sound with the crowd as it creates a nostalgic energy and this is where her love for music first came from.
