Dear Brazil. You broke me open, with brute force, wide open where I couldn’t hide from my shadows any longer. You threw me into a deep descent, falling so fast the fear almost consumed me whole. You were not gentle. You were intense, just as I knew you would be. You also pulled me back up, helping me rise from the ashes, covered me in love, reminded me of my vitality, showed me where my fire was hiding, helped me ignite the flame in my belly again. You sewed all my wounds back with the purest gold. You showed me what it means to be Alive. Truly alive. You spoke to me for almost 20 years. Waited for the perfect time, when you knew I would be strong enough to handle what you initiated me through. I’m truly grateful for your spirit, your nature and your people and the deep healing you gave me. Forever etched in my heart and soul. Te amo brasil. 💚 taken in Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro by @emoceansdeep

I was asked yesterday what my daily practices are and I answered gratitude and affirmations (which sounds so basic) but really are the foundations for mindset and a good day. But I didn’t answer my biggest non negotiable which is I give myself 2 hours before I have to start my day. This is what I need to set myself off right. If I’m rushing in the morning I literally can’t fucking cope 🤣

I spent many years trying to be disciplined with certain practices but the truth is I get really bored. Even if somethings helping me. Towards the end of any 40 day kriya I do maybe once or twice a year I’m so bored 🤣

So what I now do is allow any practice I feel inspired or called to do in my 2 hours. It could be breathwork, meditation, chanting, dancing, maybe it’s laying down and crying 🤣 whatever I feel I need in the moment. And even if it’s just ten minutes I bug myself up for doing something. And you know what; it works so well for me because I no longer shame myself for not keeping up with one same thing.

ALSO I wanted to say- yesterday I did embodied processing on myself, the same process I take clients through. Lots came up. But what I noticed is, a year ago I wouldn’t have been able to do it on myself. I would have needed someone else. That’s the beauty of this modality is with practice and time you can start to incorporate bits of the process on yourself.

This journey can be as deep as you want it to be but it all starts with easy first steps. These tips are for anyone curious about how to become more emotionally resilient and being able to know what to do when discomfort arises (because it always will). You can start practicing this throughout your busy days.

And if you’d like to build on this deeper with someone supporting you, then get in touch about my sessions or head to the link in bio to book.

I also offer a limited number of reduced-rate spaces for people from marginalised ethnic backgrounds and for those experiencing financial hardship. If my standard rate isn’t accessible to you, please get in touch. by @emoceansdeep

I’ve been sitting with this all week, thinking about how the journey of emotional mastery isn’t the same for everyone because we all have different capacities, lives, bodies and experiences of trauma, as well as unique designs, energy blueprints and ancestral memories etched into our DNA that can impact how we engage with this work.

The way I talk about emotional mastery is purely based on my own experiences, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be translated into your own.

For example, the journey of emotional mastery (which by the way I haven’t fully mastered and it’ll be a lifelong journey I’m sure) for me is really about allowing opportunities for emotional ALCHEMY- where I can continue developing my levels of awareness of what I’m feeling, and be curious enough to explore it further, expand my capacity to hold and feel and alchemise pain and challenge into something beautiful.

For others emotional mastery might begin and end with awareness; awareness on what they’re feeling, how it feels and why they feel it. And that’s okay. There’s no right or wrong way for this because you forge your own path.

What I share on this page may not speak to everyone, but I’m determined to keep sharing my experiences on emotional alchemy in the hopes that it inspires even one person, because my life has transformed through being able to understand my emotions and not let them rule my life. Does that mean I don’t get floored by things sometimes? No.

Cos that’s not what emotional mastery is about. For me it’s about being able to know my window of tolerance for feeling, and allow myself to safely feel what comes up, so I can deepen discernment and not act from repressed emotions, to not project, or at least to minimise this as much as possible! I’m still learning. But I’m devoted to this path.

Figuring out what I wanted in life came off the back of losing myself in a relationship. I felt so lost after I came out of it I had no idea who I was or what I wanted in life. My life had become enmeshed with theirs and it wasn’t fun realising that after the fact.

Instead of jumping into something else I took the time to heal and come back to myself, a long and challenging process where I had to meet a lot of grief before I could even begin to understand anything else.

Peeling back the layers of emotion was the only thing that helped me to understand my true wants needs and desires.

Have you ever lost yourself in a relationship or jumped from person to person not knowing what you wanted? How did you find yourself again?

Summertime nature jams. It doesn’t need to look or sound perfect. What matters is you using your free will to create something, to channel a feeling, to tap on a tree to make sounds, whatever. Just go outside

Me and the nephew did that this summer and it was very wholesome. More of this. @evanis0k_21 by @emoceansdeep

Part 2 of my somatic processing experience of meeting terror on Monday morning of this week 😂

I want to make it clear that when I talk in this video about people not having done the work to be able to meet these deeper levels of scary shit it’s not a judgement, it’s an observation from my own experience and thinking back to times where I’ve not been able to handle what was coming up because I was pushing to try and reach the core stuff or I didn’t have the support or finances to be supported in the way I needed.

It’s about the importance of taking things really slowly in this work. It’s not a race. And I still sometimes am not able to meet all of my emotions. Just 2 weeks ago during a session I had I couldn’t fully sit with the anger I detected in my body. It’s a process. And we all do the best we can with what we have.

I know my content doesn’t speak to everyone but it’s simply my own experiences I’m sharing in the hopes it’s helpful to even one person. 🙏
