Back in ‘22 in Minneapolis I had the pleasure of opening for Ird Al Yanko. I did half an hour. Oct 7 thru 10 I’ll be at @acmecomedyco doing an hour; it’ll feel strange talking twice as slowly. taken in Minneapolis, Minnesota by @emophilips

The Legendary @emophilips is coming to BOZEMAN! Get your tickets NOW!

3 Amazing shows. Sept 18th and 19th. 7pm shows are 13+ so grab your teens and have a night out with one of the most creative comedic minds out there. Don't take my word for it...

"Emo is the most brilliant joke-writer in the game. You HAVE to see him live. He's amazing."
--- Patton Oswalt, February 1, 2022

“What a joy. What a complete joy. Astounding. There really is no better joke writer and that’s the
smallest part of what’s great.”
— Penn Jillette, July 23, 2025

"Emo Philips... absolutely killed."
--- Rolling Stone (Carnegie Hall review), October 30, 2022

Described by Jay Leno as the best joke writer in America, Emo Philips has performed over seven
thousand stand-up shows in comedy clubs, colleges and theaters, including a multi-week run
at the Playhouse Theatre in London's West End.

In 2018 and 2022-2023, Emo toured with "Weird Al" Yankovic (over two hundred concerts
across three continents); Emo will forever remember the standing ovation he received at
Carnegie Hall.

"I'm not sure when or where I first heard of Emo's routines, but once I did I instantly became a
fan," says "Weird Al" Yankovic. "Emo had the iconic look of someone who could have been a
major star in the era of silent films. His body language was indescribably weird. And his material
was flat-out brilliant." If asked at gunpoint who the funniest guy in the world was, Yankovic
adds, "Without question I would have to say Emo Philips -- especially if Emo happened to be the
one holding the gun."

Little did I dream, when @michaelwolffmusic out-costumed me, by a hair, on the Arsenio Hall Show, that, just 3.5 decades later, I would have the chance to redeem myself by actually playing the Joker onstage. Yet, on Sunday, September 13, at 7 PM, in Los Angeles (@dynastytypewriter), such will indeed be the case; I humbly beseech you to please kindly click @comicsreadingcomicsshow for clues. taken in Los Angeles, California by @emophilips
