My 1980s childhood dream came true last night when I fiiiiinally got to see @emophilips. I have a vivid memory of myself as a kid sitting on my grandma’s floor watching him on TV, completely mesmerized by this character that was so weird and made my weird little self feel validated in a way. To top it off, he beelined right for me in the @acmecomedyco bar last night, looked me deep in my eyes and thanked me for coming and, just as quickly, whisked himself away. I’m so bummed I didn’t think fast enough for a photo, but his show was such a joyful delight, it doesn’t matter.

(He has one more show tonight so get over there if you can!!)
