I am just here to say I’m outta here. I’m not opening this app much anymore. I won’t be deleting my page because I’m terrified of losing the archives of my life, as well as all professional and personal contacts. I am, however, wanting to shield my little eyes from AI and capitalistic algorithms. If you want to be in touch, ask me for my number, or email me at emoryferra@gmail.com.

♥️♥️♥️

I will miss seeing content about your babies growing up, kids taking ballet class all over the world, and queers being hot, but I guess I get to see those things in real life anyway. I will also miss seeing news updates and activism asks from sources/leaders I trust, but I’m realizing I’d rather curate those things for myself then have them curated by the powers that be. I will miss posting pictures on days that I’m feeling especially beautiful, but I will just have to trust that the strangers on the subway are noticing instead.
I will likely return occasionally to promote things, or with updates that feel nice to share. In the meantime I hope to not miss out on so much that I come running back to the feed with my tail between my legs. Ok BYE LOVE ALL OF YOU WHO ARE REAL PEOPLE AND NOT ROBOTS! by @emoryferra

Thank you so much to everyone who shared in One Body Per Lifetime with me this weekend 🖤 It was scary, sharing something so earnest and personal, but the way all of my performers dove into the narrative, and the emotional responses from the audience boosted my confidence ten fold by the end of the run. It is one thing to express myself as a mover, but to direct others, to sing live, to share my writing on stage, and to not only embody my own history but to see it play out on others with their own personal perspectives was so deeply significant. I am so grateful and energized, and hope to be able to share this work some more.
