I believe we must always stand firm in what we know to be right.

When racial undertones, personal attacks, and attempts to discredit someone’s voice become part of public discourse, we all have a responsibility to pay attention.

I’ve heard people say that you cannot hold public office and still have a social media platform. I respectfully disagree.

I believe we should be everything we are called to be.

You can be professional and personable. You can be passionate and principled. You can be outspoken and respectful. You can hold public responsibility and still be unapologetically yourself.

There is no title, position, or political environment that should ever require us to surrender our dignity to occupy a seat at the table.

We stand with Councilmember Jason Lee @district6 yesterday, today, and tomorrow 🫶🏽✊🏽

Honored to be chosen as a recipient of the 2026 EWOC Excellence Award. 🖤🏆

Truly thankful to @thehublive for celebrating the work, the purpose, and the people behind it. 📖🫶🏽

To be recognized alongside so many incredible women who lead, inspire, and move with purpose is an honor.

Thank you for believing in the power of WE. 🖤

EMPACT was nominated for the Mayor McCarty’s 2026 Nonprofit of Distinction Award.

EMPACT was not built in a boardroom. It was built on front porches, in courtrooms, on street corners at 2am, in IEP meetings, at bedsides, and at crime scenes. It was built in the places people told us didn’t matter, for the people systems told us didn’t count.

This community award is proof that grassroots organizations DO matter. That showing up; consistently, relentlessly, and through alignment is never wasted. That the community SEES you even when the institutions don’t.

To every family that trusted us with their worst moments, thank you. To every partner that stands with us, thank you. To the community, you are the reason we don’t stop.

We are deeply humbled and incredibly honored. 🙏🏽🖤 Can’t stop won’t stop✊🏽

It felt good to be called upon to stand in support and speak to the students at California State University, Sacramento, my alma mater.

I stood alongside a new generation of leaders and organizers. Students who are demanding justice for Nolan Wells and standing up for the rights, safety, and protection of women.

I am proud of these student leaders. Keep organizing. Keep speaking. Keep demanding accountability. Your voices matter, and the work you are doing matters.

The future is watching, and the future is speaking.

The courage. The bravery. The resilience. 💜💜💜

When you tell your story, you give a voice to so many other women who haven’t yet found the strength, safety, or opportunity to speak their truth. Your courage reminds them that they are not alone, their stories matter, and their past does not define their future. Sometimes, sharing your truth becomes the light that helps another woman find her way out of the darkness.
