We have a long tradition of supporting students and educators in metro Atlanta, home to our global headquarters.

Continuing that commitment, we partnered with Empty Stocking Fund to support its Teacher Resource Center through financial support from the Newell Brands Charitable Foundation and a full truckload of product — 41 pallets and more than 80,000 items from brands including Sharpie®, Paper Mate® and Elmer’s®.

Since August, 1,000 teachers from 347 schools have accessed more than $310,000 worth of classroom supplies, and another 1,600 teachers are scheduled through the first week of October. All 2,600 available appointments filled within an hour of opening.

By partnering with Empty Stocking Fund, we can help put classroom supplies directly into the hands of local teachers who need them.

We’re proud to help Georgia educators and students start the school year strong. by @emptystocking

Our warehouse was busy today! 💙

This morning, @coxenterprises employees helped us prepare for the upcoming holiday season, and this afternoon, The @homedepot volunteers rolled up their sleeves to build Teacher Kits that will soon be distributed to educators across greater Atlanta.

From creating holiday joy for children and families to equipping teachers with the supplies they need, we’re grateful for corporate partners who show up for our community all year long. by @emptystocking

The Empty Stocking Fund creates a lot of joy—and a whole lot of cardboard—as we receive, organize and distribute products for children, families and teachers.

When our friends at Smurfit Westrock came to volunteer, they noticed the mountain of cardboard and asked a simple question: “What are you doing with all of this?”

That question quickly turned into a partnership in action.

Connected through Mandy Burnette, the WestRock team completed a site visit and scheduled a truck to our warehouse to collect the cardboard at no cost to ESF—helping us keep it out of the landfill and put it back to use.

And this was no small pickup: 44 pallets of cardboard and more than 40 broken pallets!

That is a lot of cardboard, a lot more breathing room in our warehouse and one big step toward more sustainable operations.

We are incredibly grateful to the WestRock Company for spotting an opportunity, sharing their expertise and helping us turn our cardboard clutter into something useful.

Thank you for helping us think outside the box—and recycle it, too! ♻️📦

And a very special thank you to Steve Klein for making all the logistics happen! @smurfitwestrockcompany by @emptystocking

The ESF team had a wonderful time at the Atlanta Braves’ Christmas in July celebration last night at the Georgia Power Company pavilion! 🎄⚾

Thank you to every fan who stopped by and donated school supplies to support our Teacher Resource Center. Your generosity will help ensure local teachers and students have the essential supplies they need for a strong start to the school year.

A special thank-you to the Atlanta Braves for inviting us to be part of such a fun and meaningful evening!
