🏔️ TAKING THE STRAIN FOR MEINS…DONE…with a plot twist!!! ❤️ What started as a challenge to climb Snowdon as many times as possible over the Bank Holiday weekend turned into something we definitely didn’t expect… 5 summits. 75+ km. 5,000m+ elevation. A LOT of rain. 🌧️😂 And somewhere along the way, we met Angie, who had injured her knee on the way down. So naturally, our mannequin’s chariot became Ange’s chariot, and we carried her safely back down the mountain! ❤️ We spoke to hundreds of people along the way, handed out loads of QR codes, collected donations and raised around £6,000 for Meinir’s urgent cancer treatment. 🙏 A massive thank you to @nickhclark @cai_rowlands144 and @moonhead_media who joined us for a lap, all who donated, shared, cheered us on or simply stopped for a chat. What a weekend. What a mountain. Anyone fancy helping these ledgends out? There on lap 4 carrying the scarecrow version of "Meins" up Yr Wyddfa with another 2 days ahead of them to get in as many laps as possible raising money for Meins. 🏔️ TAKING THE STRAIN FOR MEINS ❤️ ——WE NEED YOUR HELP! ——— This Bank Holiday weekend, a group of Meinir’s friends are heading to Llanberis for a special challenge- Total accumulated meters of height gain on Yr Wyddfa over three days -9am Friday- 9am Monday. Plus if thats not hard enough already, there will be a dummy/scarecrow dressed in traditional Welsh folk dance dress, that (vaguely!) represents Meinir. It will be carried up and down as many times as possible. This is all to raise money for Meinir’s specialist Cancer treatment. —How can you HELP?— —GET INVOLVED!— Anyone can join the walk just come to the team base at the Royal Victoria Car Park to sign up and collect a T-shirt. You can join the merry team on one of their accents with the scarecrow or make your own ascent, marking your name/number of summits on the board at the top -DONT WANT TO GO UP YR WYDDFA?- You can help out by taking a donation bucket and heading out around Llanberis and spending the word of this amazing challenge and collecting donations. Free T shirt included for this task. Donate- £30 or more on the day and get 1 of 50 limited edition T shirts. Update No. 2 – Almaen / Germany 🇩🇪 ❤️ We’re heading in the right direction, but it has been an incredibly emotional journey for both myself and Meinir Siencyn. @snapyn.tv There have been difficult moments along the way, but we are taking things one day at a time. Our spirits remain strong, and we are continuing to move forward together. The love, kindness and support we’ve received from so many of you has honestly carried us through some of the hardest moments. Knowing that people are thinking of us, sending messages, sharing our story and helping in whatever way they can means more to us than words could ever express. ❤️ Diolch o waelod calon i bawb sydd wedi rhoi yn barod. Update from Germany. Diweddariad o'r Almaen. 🇩🇪❤️ Fideo Gan Meinir. Firstly, we just want to say thank you. Every donation, every share, every message, and every prayer has helped carry us through the hardest time of our lives. Meinir's treatment is going well, and the multi-faceted approach to healing here has been incredible to witness. We're seeing first-hand just how much thought & care goes into every part of her treatment. However, it has taken much more treatment than anyone initially expected to get her stable enough to begin the advanced immunotherapy they offer here. While this is positive progress, it also means the costs have increased significantly. We've just received the bill for the first two weeks, and it's an astonishing €113,000. It's an overwhelming amount, but without being here, we honestly don't know where we'd be or what condition Meinir would be in. Coming to Germany has given us hope when we desperately needed it, and we will never be able to thank you all enough for helping make that possible. Cancer is so unpredictable that it's impossible to know exactly what lies ahead. At the moment, the doctors here estimate that, if everything goes to plan, we'll need another €80,000–€100,000 to complete Meinir's treatment. As difficult as it is to ask, we still need your help. If you're able to donate, no matter how big or small, we would be incredibly grateful. And if donating isn't possible, simply sharing our GoFundMe page with your friends, family, and community is just as valuable. Every donation, every share, and every kind word brings us one step closer to giving Meinir the best possible chance. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us.
