🏔️ TAKING THE STRAIN FOR MEINS…DONE…with a plot twist!!! ❤️

What started as a challenge to climb Snowdon as many times as possible over the Bank Holiday weekend turned into something we definitely didn’t expect…

5 summits. 75+ km. 5,000m+ elevation. A LOT of rain. 🌧️😂

And somewhere along the way, we met Angie, who had injured her knee on the way down. So naturally, our mannequin’s chariot became Ange’s chariot, and we carried her safely back down the mountain! ❤️

We spoke to hundreds of people along the way, handed out loads of QR codes, collected donations and raised around £6,000 for Meinir’s urgent cancer treatment. 🙏

A massive thank you to @nickhclark @cai_rowlands144 and @moonhead_media who joined us for a lap, all who donated, shared, cheered us on or simply stopped for a chat.

What a weekend. What a mountain. What a brilliant bunch of people. ❤️🏔️

If you’d still like to donate, the fundraiser is on my stories.

🏔️ TAKING THE STRAIN FOR MEINS ❤️

This Bank Holiday weekend, we’re heading to Snowdon with one goal…to see how many times we can get up and down it in three days, while raising money towards the specialist cancer treatment Meinir urgently needs.

From 9am Friday 28th until 9am Monday 31st August, we’ll be based at the bottom of the Llanberis Path, outside the Royal Victoria Hotel, and we’re hoping to get as many people involved as possible.

We’re putting together a Welsh scarecrow/dummy, which will be carried up and down the mountain with us throughout the challenge. So if you see a slightly unusual looking group making their way up Snowdon, you’ll know you’ve found us! 😂

Fancy joining us for a summit? Come along!

Can’t make it to Snowdon? You can still make a huge difference by donating or simply sharing this post.

Every person who joins us, every donation and every share helps us get closer to giving Meins the chance to access the treatment she desperately needs. ❤️

Please share this far and wide! The more people we can get involved, the bigger the challenge — and hopefully the bigger the difference we can make for Meinir. 🙏

See you on the mountain! 🏔️💪❤️

♡ MOUNTAINS FOR MEINIR ♡
Sunday was the first of two fundraising hikes for Meinir, taking the road less travelled to the roof of Eryri — the Yr Wyddfa South Ridge. Summit was its usual weekend mayhem, but we had the ascent almost to ourselves.
⛰️
Great company from two lovely ladies, Natalina and Michaela, who got a taster of scrambling and are already hooked. Their donations are helping @emsdavies1 and @snapyn.tv fund the treatment Meinir needs for the best chance at a healthy quality of life.
☀️
Thank you to everyone who donated, whether you joined us or not — it means more than you know.
Next hike: 22nd August. All welcome. Minimum £30 donation to climb a mountain in Meinir's name.
❤️
🙏 If you want to donate, if you can donate please do my lovely friends still have a mountain of fundraising to climb themselves and every bit helps 💪

Mae ein harweinydd Meinir yn mynd trwy gyfnod o waeledd wedi diagnosis o ganser cam 4.

Mae Meinir yn ysbrydoledig a da ni'n lwcus iawn yn Dawnswyr Delyn a thu hwnt o'i hymroddiad, ei hegni a'i hangerdd tuag at dawnsio gwerin a chlocsio.

Mae ei phartner Ems wedi sefydlu tudalen 'gofundme' ar gyfer casglu arian ar gyfer triniaeth yn yr Almaen. Os oes gennych geiniog i sbario neu eiliad i rannu'r neges - byddwn yn ddiolchgar iawn.

Rydym yn anfon pob nerth a chariad atat Meinir - ac yn dy ddal yn dyn o bell.

Our dance leader Meinir has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.

Meinir is an inspiration to us all at Dawnswyr Delyn and brings out the best in others with her care, energy and passion for traditional dancing and sense of community.

Her partner Ems has set up a 'gofundme' page to raise money for treatment in Germany. If you have a penny to spare or a second to share this message - we would appreciate it.

We're sending all of our love and strength to Meinir - and are wrapping our arms around her from afar.
