And to think I thought I wouldn’t do anything with this video when I first saw it because I didn’t like how I looked in it 🤯🤦‍♀️

The stories we tell ourselves and how they will steal our joy if we let them! 🙄

@kakosmile thank you so much for this beautiful dance… we are so lucky to have you in Sydney! So grateful for you and our beautiful dance connection 🫶🏼🥰 by @emwadlives

Finally getting round to posting my @melonito7 vid from @sydneybachatafest and I love watching it just as much as I did dancing it all those months ago 🥰

This dance was an absolute festival highlight and a real turning point for me… a culmination of 4 months of hard work trying to move past my fear of performing, and the first time being filmed dancing with a professional where I felt confident enough to forget about everything else and just dance with the person in front of me ☺️

I still get nervous sometimes (often actually), my dancing still goes up and down (I think that’s normal?!), and I’ve found myself in a bit of a lull at the moment after an ankle injury has been impacting me now for so many months (definitely knocking my confidence a bit going into the next festival). But I started to feel proud of my dancing ever since this moment, and watching it back I remember why. The biggest change was never about the steps… it was the energy of the person dancing them 🥰

Thank you so much @melonito7 for making me feel safe enough to let go and just enjoy this. I loved every second of dancing with you!! ❤️

Sadly I couldn’t improve the audio without losing the magic festival vibe, so we just get to enjoy this in its rawest form 🥰 taken in Sydney International Bachata Festival by @emwadlives
