POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, hot people vote! Objective fact!

All jokes aside, it is *essential* that anyone eligible to vote this year does so. Every election is important, of course, but this one is SO. DAMN. IMPORTANT.

And you gotta be registered to do that!

You only have the rest of TODAY (Wednesday, October 14th) to register online to vote at myvote.wi.gov 💻

If you don’t register online by tonight, you’ll have to go to the municipal clerk’s office to register to vote (that has to be done by October 30th).

Link in my stories if you wanna make sure you’re registered to vote and find important information about your candidates, polling place, etc.

Maybe you missed September becoming October?

& if you’re wondering how I got to do all of this while also working my booty off… even I am unsure. Wtf is sleep??

True North, Yacht Rock, and Birthday Baddies, oh my!

If this is a sign of how many special experiences are going to be in Q4, I am very very much down 🙂‍↕️

If I have a guest bathroom, you best believe it’s gonna stocked with the best!

It is *allegedly* gonna get colder here in Wisconsin & it’s really important to me to have a space where people can stay if it’s too bad out to drive.

I picked up @diane.perfect.beauty shampoo & conditioner from the Target Beauty Studio for anyone to use when they’re staying with us so they feel pampered with the best while away from their own beds.

And let’s just say it might be living in my bathroom until we have guests…

So, when I say “you’re always welcome to stay” know that I mean it. I have a clean bathroom & hair care for you 🤗

pretty serendipitous that my 1000th post lines up with World Mental Health Day

After all, EmyDBlog originated from journal entries and ranting Tumblr blogs. It was my way of finding community in some of my most difficult mental health moments.

it’s my life & learning to love it.

if you’re new here, thanks for being here for post number 1000. You’ll find a oversharing of all sorts in a *real* lifestyle blog.

if you’ve been here since post 1, thank you for being part of this safe space for me to land for nearly a decade.

love always❤️‍🩹

Safe to say I’m the biggest, the largest, and that September was a damn good time!

I felt like I spent a lot of time solo this month trying to set Q4 up for success.

SEPT:
- a staycation with my Sweet Pea
- celebrated an angel’s 30th
- flipped my schedule about 4000 times
- obsessed over dancing with the stars with my besties (and 900 people in a live!!!)
- popped off on EmyD stuff

OCT TO DO:
- celebrate *another* angel’s 30th
- curate a plethora of Halloween vibes
- popped off even harder with EmyD
- feel settled into a schedule
- launch my learning to love it series 👀

How’re ya’ll doing? What’s been going on with you??

Ofc I’m coming to the bar?? Someone’s gotta be the life of the party!

All jokes aside, being alcohol free definitely has been a journey. But one that I probably *would* recommend!

Where my sober/sober curious/CA sober/recovering girls at? Let’s kiki and share stories! Maybe grab a mocktail?!

Taking on True North one restaurant booth at a time!

Had the opportunity to have five different restaurants for dinner and when can you say that?

True North Music and Food Festival is a celebration of Madison’s North Side complete with local restaurants, artists, and businesses that really highlight the community.

Em’s fav: Sherry & Maple Glazed Berkshire Rib Chops from @heritagetavern

Sull’s fav: Salted Caramel Affogato from @ancoramadison

True North Festival is one of Destination Madison’s “Top 10 Don’t Miss Event Weekends in 2026” and I can see why!!

Needless to say, we will definitely be getting to the North Side more for more delicious dishes and hit up the places we didn’t get to here at that the festival!

See any of your favs on this list? Any North Side recommendations we need to try next?

And check out other events you simply can’t miss on Destination Madison’s website ✨

Breakfast with my dad ♥️ with the help of @jonesdairyfarm ofc!

This week’s been a heavy one & sometimes all you need during heavy times are good people, good food, and good conversation.

Partnering with Jones Dairy Farm, I was able to invite my dad over for all three

Having been family owned for over 130 years, Jones Dairy Farm creates products as a family that you want to serve to your own. These moments that we can share are SUCH a blessing.

Plus they’re delicious and available at Costco… I mean, come on!

The highlight of my week has been having breakfast with my dad ♥️ What’s been yours?

maybe you missed my staycation with penelope?

Had a week of puppy zoomies again while my sweet friends lived it up in Vegas.

Staying somewhere locally that’s not your own home allows for a lot of introspection & in my case, a lot of locking in.

A lot of really good moments:
- an early Farmer’s Market with @allie_ih & @sullivansaliby
- a thrift find or two
- watching an obscene amount of YouTube while working on cool things 👀
- reconnecting with the one & only @natbusch16
- time with so many pets!

And don’t forget, shoplifting is a crime!!

The universe brought this self care reminder to you ✨

And who are YOU to argue with the universe!

Partnering with @aromatica.global to try out their Rosemary Scalp Scrub was even more reason to do a full night of self care

Because you don’t need excuses to do something for you!
