my world is growing🌿

my perspective in life is changing too and in a very special, spiritual and expansive way. daniel and I are happy to share that a light beam is growing within me.

I’m back from a week long qigong retreat and training that kicked off with a summer solstice celebration. Seasonal nodes are an extra powerful time for qigong practice, but every day is a good day for it. Beautiful, long and fruitful days of working on my relationship with the qi-field outside of my body but also within - a relationship that is very valuable to me. Qigong means “skill in cultivating the subtle breath of nature”. Learning to live more in sync with nature and its wisdom is something that resonates with me greatly. I have a daily breathwork practice that I started years ago and I’m extremely excited to now integrate a daily qigong practice (one week in). Let’s see where this takes me.

therapeutic walks.

Daniel and I go for walks most days we’re not in clinic. It’s never to reach a certain distance or number of steps - our bodies will tell us when the cup fills up. We talk and wander while we visit and sync up with nature. It feels so good. I find it therapeutic and definitely notice a shift in state of mind and body - even when subtle.

A kind reminder. Keep that line of communication with your body open. Our bodies are always trying to do us right and keep up with us so that we can keep doing the things we love and want to do. This relationship works even better when we listen and support it along the way. You know your body best. If something feels off, then something is likely off. Your body doesn’t lie. Don’t let someone tell you something different. I hear these kind of stories in clinic far too often.
