when I imagined herencia, I thought of it being a moment in time to celebrate artists being creative with music and dance in other forms… Not everyone can make a song or sing but we can take the love we have for music and create whatever else comes to mind… there is always that moment where our passion connects to the reality of what is available to us and forces us to just make something out of that… for me that was salsa… a moment where I thought dance was in the past, salsa became a whole other opportunity to explore dance in a way I never imagined… it’s been incredibly fulfilling & has brought beautiful people in my life, which also were part of so many aspects of herencia as an exhibit & concept for houston… loved shooting with the talented @o.live25 - dancer of so many styles 🔥 having fun and doing what we love to do was so easy! 🫶🏼 had fun concepting with & seeing @fotodebs do her thing with the camera while twirled around ✨ she captured us in such a raw way, love it! last project in Herencia had to be about baile 💃🏻🤍 inspo was Olivia’s photo in @alessandravennema photo series right at the start 😉 see yall for the closing day tomorrow 10/10! Gallery Hours: 1PM -Midnight Melomania Vinyl Meet Up 4-7:30PM Manana Social & Class 9-1AM #salseras #sonmontuno #son #houstondance #houstonart by @enbuenafe

normally don’t like dark spaces but I’ve been wanting to experience Undercurrents by @lozanohemmer it was beyond calming & inspirational. what a beautiful way to use houston structures & waterways. i love spaces that also remind me of some of my fave movies. i saw the colors of tron, matrix & queen of the damned. i can imagine music, performance & fashion in this space. Maravilloso! #houstonart #houstonarchitecture #untitledartfair taken in Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern by @enbuenafe

pa’ mi del universo…. ((los recordatorios que me dio Diosito en los últimos dos días de bendiciones)) (the reminders God gave me these last two days) I wanna know what you’ve been reminded of lately… celebrar es la parte más importante del proceso… ten fe en los que Diosito a puesto en tu camino 💖 se puede bailar en donde sea, hazlo… el baile no es perfección, es sentimiento. you’ll never be this young again, pose for the pic. always say thank you… so thank you to everyone who came out to support night one and the other events this Friday 🥹 no tienes que tenerlo todo averiguado, puedes improvisar con lo que ya existe to the artists in my life and those who trusted me with their work… keep believing and practicing your craft… your passion fuels the beautiful things people get to experience and see… yo en verdad creo que artistas son otra parte de naturaleza que dios creó para darle más vida los colores del mundo when you have a clear idea from the heart, people can feel it… everything in life might change, might get boring or hard to do - but passion will stay… it will live within you whether you choose to do something about it or not… so just do it, por que nunca sabes a qué nivel te puede llevar la inspiración está en todos lados, pon atención say yes more often, especially to dance… toma riesgos… disfruta tu trabajo… tu femenino es tu poder! aprende cosas nuevas y ponte a jugar más juegos… aprecia las cosas bien hechas… “lo hecho en México esta bien hecho” - mi papi be your own vibe… y siempre ama lo más que puedas por que uno nunca sabe… ✨ by @enbuenafe
