How do we honor the past while contributing to a resilient and meaningful future?

At the Lost Shtetl Memorial Park in Šeduva, Lithuania @dingesstetlas memory, ecology, and human experience are brought into a unified spatial expression.

While the entire museum complex was recently honored by the @prixversailles, our focus was the creation of the surrounding regenerative landscape. Designed as a natural extension of the museum, the park eschews a singular memorial gesture. Instead, it offers a continuous sequence of atmospheres—transitioning from open, expansive fields to intimate, enclosed spaces. It is a place of remembrance, quiet movement, and ecological renewal.

The final layer of the spatial journey brings us to the contemporary rooftop of the Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Cartagena @fscartagena 🌴

Here, Enea’s lush tropical gardens frame the elevated rooftop terraces and swimming pools. Blending Swiss design principles with a deep understanding of Colombia’s tropical ecology, we shaped this rooftop garden to connect the property’s diverse architectural styles. This green oasis offers a seamless transition to nature, providing clear views over the historic skyline and the restored temple dome.

The historic heart of the Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Cartagena @fscartagena lies within the 16th-century San Francisco Cloister. Within this heritage setting, Enea’s landscape design is deliberately restrained, letting the architecture, history, and atmosphere of Cartagena remain at the forefront.

Through a system of lush tropical gardens and courtyards, the landscape serves as a functional connector. By carefully orchestrating shade, vegetation, and airflow, we prioritized native and adaptive species to create comfortable microclimates, transforming these historic outdoor spaces into livable, resilient environments throughout the day.

At the Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Cartagena @fscartagena, the landscape acts as the connective thread across centuries of history, uniting a highly complex architectural ensemble—spanning a 16th-century cloister, 1920s heritage structures, and contemporary additions—into a single, fluid narrative.

To harmonise these diverse architectural styles, Enea Landscape Architecture designed a system of lush tropical gardens and living corridors. The design respects the heritage of each structure, ensuring the landscape serves as a spatial backbone that structures circulation and frames views while allowing the rich history of Cartagena to remain at the forefront.

While Geoffrey Bawa is often associated with the early waves of modern design in Sri Lanka, his true legacy lies in a nuanced approach that placed climate, context, and local materials at the absolute center. To him, design was a seamless dialogue to dissolve the boundaries between the natural landscape and interior spaces🌿

At Enea, this transition is the guiding principle behind every project. We conceive landscape and interior spaces as one continuous, living experience, using natural materials, light, and plants to make the home and garden feel like one.

Handcrafted by @phantomhands, the Geoffrey Bawa Furniture Collection brings this exact philosophy to a human scale, thoughtfully re-edited with enhanced materials and modern design refinements for today’s living spaces, while faithfully embodying the social, economic, and cultural realities of its heritage.

Come by the @eneaoutsidein furniture exhibition from September 24–26 and register for the upcoming panel talk on September 26, where we will discuss Bawa’s enduring influence on contemporary design.

A landscape designed as a continuous narrative.

The spatial design of the Memorial Park at the Lost Shtetl Museum draws on the history of “The Last Journey”, evoking the path taken by the Jewish community of Šeduva in August 1941.

Conceived as a natural extension of the exhibition spaces, the landscape allows visitors to transition seamlessly into the open countryside. It is a slow, reflective sequence moving through a birch alley, wildflower meadows, curated wetlands, and a traditional orchard. Each space is designed to encourage quiet movement, silence, and personal interpretation.

A morning shaped by trees. By movement. By tea. With Technogym at Enea Tree Museum. by @enealandscapearchitecture

This week, we introduced Technogym Reform in one of Switzerland’s most meaningful environments: the @eneatreemuseum , a unique open-air museum where rescued trees stand as living proof that care, time, and consistency create longevity.
Just as these trees have grown, adapted, and endured over generations, our wellbeing is built through the same long-term commitment: movement, prevention, and daily discipline.
Technogym Reform represents our vision of modern Pilates, a discipline designed not only for strength and elegance of movement, but for longevity itself. Through digital guidance and precise training, it supports the body in building resilience over time, just as nature does.
Our guests experienced this connection firsthand: a Reformer session among remarkable trees, a walk through the Tree Museum and its thoughtfully designed landscape, and a moment of pause in the garden — each reflecting a shared commitment to nature and human health, where longevity is cultivated, never accelerated.
A morning dedicated to the Wellness Lifestyle where nature and movement speak the same language. by @enealandscapearchitecture
