Exploring Montréal churches.

Mary Queen of the World Cathedral Basilica is the seat of the Archdiocese of Montreal. Designated a national historic site in 2000, it is the fourth largest church in Quebec, after Saint Joseph's Oratory, Notre-Dame Basilica and Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré Basilica. Built between 1870 and 1894 according to the plans of architect Victor Bourgeau and Father Joseph Michaud, it evokes the famous basilica in its façade, dome, and interior decoration.
